Dr. Harrison Lewis Robinson, MD

Excellent Doctor.

Just moved to Escondido, and after researching reviews and profiles, I chose to make an appointment with Dr. Robinson for my husband and myself. I was extremely impressed with his personality and manners, he spent a lot of time with me, going over my history and areas of concerns. Everyone in the office was very pleasant, and followed up quickly to send new prescriptions to my mail order pharmacy, as well, as a local pharmacy for immediate needs. I am a retired RN, and am very picky about my health care providers, and I believe he is one of best-knowledgeable, and a great bedside manner. I just hope his retirement plans are far in the future!

D. Robinson is gentle and kind. Spends plenty of time with me. Listens well and is ready to cooperate with other doctors to help discover a good diagnosis. I have nothing but good to say about him.

Dr Robinson was my doctor while he practiced in the State of Wisconsin, & he was my doctor for almost 20 yrs.. while he was affiliated with St Mary's..I know his profile says he's been practicing for "19 yrs", but I believe that needs updating. I first saw Dr Robinson when he was just starting his practice in For St. Mary's. I knew from day one of meeting him, he was the kind of doctor, we don't see much of anymore. He spent all the time with me I needed (Or my wife, & kids) without staring at his watch every 2 minutes. He explained in medical terms i could understand (Like when you read one of those books, "Medicine for Dummies"..lol). During my time as his patient, I heard through clinic sources, that Dr Robinson was being pressured to, "Not" spend so much time with his patients, so he could rush more through, with the Masters Cattle-prod, as many patients as he could see a day, but Dr Robinson never changed his way, with, "Listening", & "Talking" to his patients. I knew going to… see him that I might sit in the waiting room for a little while to see him because of this fact, but I knew when my time came, he'd spend as much time with me, as I needed, as he had done do with the patients before me. During my almost 20 years as a patient doctor Robinson was, never once wrong, on his diagnosis's.Thats not something I can say about to many of the Internists, surgeons, Or OD's, I've had to deal with over my patient life time. Dr Robinson is NOT a judgmental doctor, as are so many doctors coming out of medical schools over the last 20 yrs (IMO). I've had to see Doctors, since I was 11 yrs old, back in 1975 because of Meningitis, & the damage its done to my body, & have watched how the medical profession has changed from caring, to impatient, UN-hearing, judgmental, & I know its because of pressures we patients don't see in their practices (i.e. Businesses, Insurance filings in triplicates, etc), but Doctor Robinson treats his patients with respect, & I Personally miss him, & would love for him to come back. You in CA. are lucky to have him.

Dr. Harrison Robinson, MD is the best Doctor I have ever encountered. A rare breed of Physician, he is a good listener, compassionate, and professional. He is in my opinion an unquestionably competent clinician. I never feel rushed, he spends as much time as necessary with me. I just hope Dr. Robinson doesn't retire for many many years! Another rarity, the office and support staff are also kind & professional.
