Dr. Harsh Vardhan Duphare

Dr Duphare did an EGD on me yesterday, Friday, around 12 noon. It is now 5:30 pm on Saturday and I have not seen or talked to him about my procedure. It’s very frustrating not to hear from him and know how things went and what I should do as a follow up.

I went to see Dr. Duphare for my first colon exam at 50. Never did I think that the result of my first ever exam of this nature would result in me being told that I had cancer. Dr. Duphare broke the news to me and must of seen the shock on my face. He quickly reassured me that it was found early and that everything was going to be alright. His calm demeanor and compassion immediately put me at ease. He told me that he was going to make sure I got through this and boy did he. Before I left his office that day I had an appointment for blood work and scans. He even had his nurse set me up with an appointment with one of the best Colon/Rectal Surgeons and an oncologist. When I called him a few days later to let him know the "Best Colon/Rectal Surgeon" he was trying to get me to see was booked and they referred me to someone else, he made a phone call and I was got in to see who he wanted me to. He kept in touch with me throughout my process and scheduled me for a follow up after… my surgery just to check on me. I had all of the tests and the surgery he helped set up for me. Three weeks after my surgery I was back at work and without the cancer in my body. When I went to my follow up, all I knew to do was to hug and thank Dr. Duphare for being my best advocate and for getting me through this by saving my life and my sanity. He is my hero. THANK YOU!!! Best Doctor you could ever ask for. Professional, knows his stuff inside and out and will be there for you. I am here today because of him!!

My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Duphare and have been very happy and pleased with him and his excellent professional manner and personality. We hope to locate his new office and continue as patients with him.

The doctor and actual procedure was fine it was the insurance billing, that we can still not get straightened out. My husband and I both have two different policies and they have managed to bill both wrong and though we have emailed and called, neither of us can get a response. I have never had this issue, even called the main office and they told me they were sorry this seems to be a common complaint and they would ask them to call us back. It has been a week...no response to emails and voice mails and complaint. WIll NEVER GO HERE AGAIN NOT WORTH IT

Dr Duphare was pretty good with the introduction part but does not spend enough time to see and explain what is exactly wrong. He did not give me enough information to make me feel comfortable that I wasted so much time to see a GI specialist. After the test that was performed, the office did not call me with the results for 10 days inspite of calling them for it for atleast 2 times.

Generally uncoordinated staff. Be prepared to do a lot of the follow up yourself. I got to my appointment and was asked to come back a few hours later. When I got there later, I waited 45 minutes to see the doctor. I will be going to another office which is unfortunate since Dr. Duphare seems like a good doctor.

I like Dr. Duphare. He is friendly, attentive, personable, and overall has a great bedside manner. He was patient and thorough, and I felt that he was understanding and sympathetic about the pain I was going through. I've been to several different GI doctors over the years, but I'll stick with Dr. Duphare.
