This doctor overbills; he spends much time with paperwork in rehab facilities, much more time than he spends with the individual patients. He is rude and impatient with dealing with residents. He is not a help to Asbury, and makes patients feel that all he cares about is billable hours. Steer clear if you can.

I've seen Dr. B for almost 30 yrs. He's extremely thorough and goes thru a 'checklist' every time from head to toe, updating my file and noting any changes. He spends 45 mins. to 1 hr.+ every 1-2 mo. office visit talking to me ... a rarity these days. If I need a new specialist I always ask for his recommendation before making an appt. You won't find many drs. with his 'bedside manner' and concern for your well being. He truly cares about you as a person, not just another patient to rush thru an allotted time slot. I consider him a friend as well as my personal medical 'guru' ... as long as he's in practice, he has a patient forever!

I've seen Dr. Birschbach for over 25 years and have never found another internist who is so supportive -- he treats me as a friend, not just a patient. He's extremely thorough; has an amazing memory and even recalls the meds I'm taking; spends a copious amount of time with me every time I see him, which is now every 1-2 months. He's also my 'go to' guy if I need a specialist -- he knows who's the best person to see for every occasion. Personally, I'm his patient as long as he's practicing medicine!
