Dr. Hasib Mikael Sarij, MD

I’m having difficulty changing Medicare plans because the plane I chose is an Aetna plan but his profile ( where the plans are listed ) doesn’t accept any plan the front desk girl gave me a list for. I referred a friend for her 90 year old mother she will have Aetna Medicare Value Select HMO. The front desk person reassured her the Doctor accepts this particular plan she is changing to. The Medicare advantage plans are cautioning us to chose another doctor because WellCare, Humana and Aetna are not on his list.

After trying to find a Physician, that would Actually listen to me and great about my concerns, pain and issues, it was through my Chiropractor that I found Dr. Sarij. I'd been to no less than 7 other Dr.s previously, Orthopedists, Rheumatologists, hand surgeon, even the HSS, and gotten so many different diagnoses, it was mind boggling, but No Real treatment plan, until I met with Dr. Sarij. Since that time 5+ years ago, I've seen the 2 PAs (Reza and Greg), in the office, had several procedures, PT etc and all of my experiences have been unsurpassed. The Dr always spends no less than 15 minutes discussing how I'm feeling and asks about how things in my personal life are as well, as he knows that All if the things we deal with and experience day to day, affect our health and well being and Then, we devise a plan on how to proceed with my care. There had never been a Dr or office, that has taken the time to discuss, and care about me as a patient, as is the case with Integrated Spine.… It's truly a shame that there are no other practices on long island, available that Truly listen, test and that patients to help improve their quality of life!! You won't go wrong with making an appointment here.

Caring for his patients. New treatment helped me tremendously

I went to Dr Sarij about a year ago. I explained my very complex and physical pain symptoms and he understood and made me feel comfortable. After that meeting I started meeting with Gregg, he is compassionate, patient, and has done whatever he can to help my situation. I was given a pain management regime that has relieved my pain and has helped me live a normal life. After 14 years of different doctors, physical therapy, Yoga, Chiropractic care I finally have found someone who understands me and has helped me.

IMO, Dr. Sarij promises but doesn't deliver, doesn't return phone calls, very secretive (paranoid? biased?). Very weird experience. Never again.

Staff is very incompetent! They don't care if you run out of pain medication. They did it too many times to me. After my pharmacy notifed them that the insurance didn't cover my pain medication, they ignored all communications. This went on for ten days!! I was not notified and left with no pills. All they had to do was to notify the insurance company, and get an authorization. When I called to speak to the office manager, they hung up on me twice!! I do not know if it was discrimination or they really are incompetent, I just don't understand why it was done every single time they had to get involved with getting an authorization or to send the prescription to another pharmacy. I would like to hear from others if this happened to you.

waste of time

Over the past 3 years that I have been a patient of Dr. Sarij, I have found he and his staff to be one of the best I have EVER dealt with. Each and every person I have dealt with from the people that answer the phone, the PA, Gill and everyone else, at either office has been just wonderful. The Dr. actually spends time with his patients, asking about everything that could be of importance to treating my many problems. He always asks about my overall health and I believe he has a genuine concern for me, my condition(s) and a truly caring bedside manner. I would (and have) recommended Dr. Sarij to anyone that may be in need of a Dr. for a specific condition causing pain or discomfort. Two previous Dr's told me there was NO Hope for regaining the use of my left wrist which has been a total mess for years. One suggested I have all the bones removed and fuss the remaining joint so that all movement would stop and this was the ONLY way to ease my pain. Dr. Sarij took the time to… review all of the information from other Dr's, provided me with a plan of action, gave me shots and in addition to Gabapentin, he suggested a fantastic procedure (PRP) which has all but cured the issues with my left hand and several other areas of pain and swelling. He is just fantastic!!

Dr. Sarij is Great and always goes the extra mile! He is harder to book an appointment with cause I know he's really busy. Dr. Martinez is Awesome very friendly and always takes the time to explain the medical terminology to me, and answers all my questions. The staff could be better though, the nurses are nice. But sometimes the girls at the front desk can make you feel beneath them. And always get a receipt for your copayments!! The wait time isn't that bad. I would definitely recommend this office though because the doctors are #1 and are amazingly nice :)
