Forget this short-tempered,so-called Doctor? (Quack-Quack)

I've always felt that she's very condescending since I started seeing her in 2012. I tried to make an appointment on a Wednesday in 2016 because I'd had a sore throat for almost two weeks. She was booked that day and out the next day, which was fine, but I was told there were available appointments on Friday, but they were all same day sick appointments so I wasn't allowed to schedule ahead. I had to wait until that morning to call and schedule. It's not “first come, first serve” as I believe it should be when you have an immediate problem. At the appointment, I wasn't allowed to talk about anything else but the sore throat. She almost didn't renew a prescription I had been on for over a year. She said she shouldn't renew it because it was a same day sick appointment. I brought up the fact that I couldn't make an appointment on Wednesday for Friday. As soon as I mentioned it, she immediately became defensive, verbally attacked me, and played dumb. She didn't know what my problem was,… so she prescribed an antibiotic. I got sick from the medicine on Monday morning. I called her office, and she sent a prescription for another medicine to my pharmacy. The pharmacy said they hadn't received anything from her. I called her office on Tuesday morning and told them this. They said they sent the prescription to my mail order pharmacy. I told this story to another one of my doctors. He said that her policies are illogical and that sending a prescription for an antibiotic to a mail order pharmacy is incompetent at best. I got a different primary care physician, and she correctly diagnosed my problem. I didn't need an antibiotic at all.

Dr Heather Hines ,is a awesome dr at sending you to the right specialist. I was recently discharged from her practice as ,,UNSATISFACTORY DOCTOR /PATIENT RELATIONSHIP, which really saddens me , because I thought she was a outstanding doctor . She referred me to specialist for my pain management. I did everything the specialist wanted me to do ,, epidural shots , he stated was nothing else he could do for me , and referred me to a surgeon for back surgery. I called dr. Hines for I wanted a second opinion and asked for another referral , she referred me ,and then dropped me as a patient. I really don't understand ,why I was dropped in less she gets a kick back from the original referral. Isn't it common practice to get a second opinion , SO SAD

I always feel so welcomed and am always provide with great service with visiting Dr. Hines. Whenever I go in due to an illness, they will promptly check on me in the up coming days to ensure I'm recovering as expected.

I've never heard a doctor say, "I don't know" as many times as she did at last appointment. When she started her practice, she actually cared about her patients; she would take time to listen to the issues, help understand medications, even give her thoughts on what the true problem might be. If you could not afford a medication, and you told her so, she would help you find a suitable alternate. Now, she works a "medical farm"- the more patients she can see (less time with each), the better to fund her new building. Best guess? Considering the number of referrals to specialists and her inability to even properly diagnose/treat excessive ear wax issues, she is glorified secretary for other doctors in her network. The more she refers you to them, the more $ for her. What ever happened to doctors who actually care about the well-being of their patients? Is it an "OSU produces too many doctors who cannot practice anywhere but in central Ohio" thing? Get yourself a PPO and by pass the… PCP altogether. Waste time/money.

I've been seeing Heather Hines for a few years now, I am satisfied with how she cared earlier, but now when I go to her office, no matter the duration between visits or what they may be for, she always has someone shadowing her. This is great for that young person who may be trying to pursue their career and I support that, but I have not felt comfortable sharing details about why I am visiting because of this second person being there, usually they are males and as a young female, I chose a female doctor for a reason.. Hines is fantastic at getting you to a specialist when necessary and getting to the center of the problem immediately. However, her mannerisms can be taunting and seem really spastic. My mother has a physician that checks up after an important office visit and personally calls with results, whatever they may be; I admire that physicians care for my mother and have considered switching to her because of that care my mother receives that I do not from Hines. However,… overall I have not been horribly dissatisfied with Heather Hines, but I don't know that she will be my primary care physician "forever".

The best Dr in General Medicine. I have not had an emergency as of yet, I will use Dr Hines should the need arrive. I am so glad I have found her.

I would recommend Dr. Hines to anyone!! I have been a patient since 2008 and I am truly pleased with the care and attention to detail that Dr. Hines and the staff expresses to me on every phone call and visit that I make. They are genuinely concerned about my healthcare. Now days it is hard to find this quality of care, but I have!

I love Dr. Hines, I refer her to all my friends. She is great!! I even got my hubby going to her as well!!
