Dr. Scullin took great care of me at Mercy Rehab in Lorain, OH after total hip replacement. She was accessible, did a great job of handling my pain from both the surgery and a horrific flare up of RA. She also managed my thrush and terrible hospital bed rash extremely well. I would recommend her to anyone. I am an RN, BSN and I was happily surprised by the excellent nursing care she oversaw as well.

I’m gonna give her a 2 star instead of a one because all my experiences with her were great. But the last time I seen her I don’t know it she was having a bad day or what was going on with Dr. Schillin. I had been seeing her for quite a while and we talking about nerve blocks in my spine. She gave me time to think about but we went on a scheduled. I have had back pain for years. Several different MRIs would say different things let her tell it but the last thing I was told was arthritis in the sacral lumber region. Hesitate on the injection I asked for not physical therapy and maybe I need to exercise more. We scheduled the injection. I didn’t not go because of the risk and I felt down the line if pain continues then we will take that option. So I went for the follow up finish and her whole personality change with me. The nice smiling lady with positive hope for her patients turned into something horrible. She told me I was somatic I need to seek help. My pain is in my mind. Her words… went on and on. Then she told me I need to go take a drug test. She had been prescribed plenty of things before and never did this. Which I know they can do it at anytime but why all of a sudden a change in attitude with me. Just because I came in stating I’m feeling better and I’m staying active everyday. I had a membership at Mercy hospital gym where me and her worked so she would see me in there. So I guess just because I did not do what she wanted me to do this is what happened. I went to my family doctor and he see her physician note and said what happened her. He turned the computer around and showed me the things she wrote: I was somatic belligerent anxious angry and the list goes on. They all popped up in red. So at the time went in my medical records. I just deal with the pain which continues to get worse over the years. Obtained all my MRI results and I have an arthritic bone spur that continues to grown and is pressing on my sciatica nerve. So thanks for telling me all my symptoms and pain were in my mind

My 92 year old father in law was in the two week rehab program from home. Dr. Scullin did not consult cardiology after we requested a consult, she lost track of the medical condition that put him in the hospital in the first place, ignored an 11 point list we gave nursing of concerns prior to discharge, told the patient's daughter that she had a 1/2 hour to do rounds, "Work it Out" and discharged us only to come back to the hospital 16 hours later to Emergency with a low sodium level because she ignored our instability that we pointed out to them. She is a poor excuse for a healthcare professional. It has changed the rest of the patient's life forever.

Dr Scullin has been a great doctor! She has taken the time to work with my multiple issues and give me help and direction on how to take care of things.

I have never been so upset by an interaction with a physician. During a 2-week hospital stay, she saw my mother 3 times for less than 5 minutes each time. When I voiced concern that my mother was being discharged despite no improvement, Dr. Scullin lectured me and scolded me for not respecting her time. She told me she couldn’t deal with me and left the room. If you’re the family member of an aging person, avoid Dr. Scullin for the well-being of your loved one. Her behavior and lack of basic human compassion is unacceptable.

My first visit with this doctor was for and EMG. After talking with her about the problems and pain I'm having, she seemed genuinely concerned and curious about what may be causing it but really couldn't go to much into it because at the time she was just doing a test. When my primary referred me to her, I was actually hopeful and looking forward to seeing her but, when I went in for my appt, I felt like I was talking with a social-worker not a doctor. She was rude and didn't want to hear anything I had to say...even when I tried to ask questions about possible treatments. Like I said, I was hopeful when I walked into her office and just walked out feeling angry and frustrated.
