I give Her AA+ She is Very personal with, takes time to explain everything to you, and your appointments are on time! Had an urgent matter contacted after hours service hour's and she personally talk to me.

I have never in my life been screamed at by a doctor until this woman. I would never recommend her to anyone.

All these negative reviews of Dr. Lakes and her staff are very surprising to me and make me wonder what the other side of the story is. My entire family goes to Dr. Lakes and has for years, and she has never refused to touch me? Or not provided me with necessary information during my appointment, or anything else some of these reviews listed. As someone with firsthand experience dealing with a doctor who had bad bedside manners I can confidently assert that hers are fine. Whoever wrote that review obviously had a bad experience but that just doesn't seem accurate to me.

Dr. Lakes and staff were quite professional. The front desk lady was kind and efficient; the nurse was friendly and made a blood draw easy and painless. Dr. Lakes listened to my concerns and gave advice that was indeed helpful. She has a holistic approach to health that I truly appreciate. I am one that believes in being responsible for your own health, so it is refreshing to find a doctor that encourages a healthy, active lifestyle over a prescription. I had no trouble scheduling an appointment that worked with my schedule, and the appointment itself took less than 45 minutes (wow, unheard of!).

Take time to read the reviews on Dr. Lakes before selecting her as your healthcare provider. She has very poor bedside manner and spends more time looking at her laptop than listening to the patient. Also, her records do not always accurately describe the symptoms and exam. This is very important when further testing is ordered because without accurate documentation, insurance will not approve the testing, and do not expect her to take the few moments needed for a peer to peer review because she will not do this in a timely manner. If you have other health issues which require a specialist, do not expect a treatment team because Dr. Lakes does not think it is her responsibility to share test results or information obtained during an office visit as she will very bluntly state that if you want your specialist to know what is going on, then it is the patient's responsibility to inform him/her. This is not good practice and certainly doesn't foster continuity of care, however if the… patient is able to be his/her own advocate, then this may not negatively impact the patient. On the other hand, if the patient is unable to act as his/her own advocate, then this lack of communication could be life threatening. Her staff has the tendency to be very curt and not responsive to messages as well, so do not expect much better treatment from them. Do your due diligence before ever seeking treatment from this physician - your life and health may very well depend upon it!

This dr needs her license revoked. After a few visits where she refused to touch me at all, I came for a visit with the flu, strep and possibly pneumonia. There was a mix-up with my appointment time (obviously my mistake; her staff couldn't possibly make a mistake like that!), and they took several patients before me. My husband asked them a few times how much longer I'd have to wait since I was so weak and sick, and it caused a thunderstorm in the office. They yelled at him, Dr. Lakes came out and yelled at him, and when I got into a room finally, she told me that I acted unprofessionally. (!!!???) I went to her for help on several occasions only to be told to buy that ridiculous pomegranate juice, or other of that spa crap she sells in the office. I was so surprised one day when she said I didn't need any meds (that I'd been on for years) but instead, gave me a flyer for a party she was having in her offices that weekend to sell that juice! I was SO out of there, found a new… dr who was wonderful, and agreed with me that the pomegranate juice did not cure migraines, high blood pressure, or any other disorder. If it did, the drs would take it themselves.

Won't tell you what's wrong. Just informs you to get surgery with no explanation. Set up other appointments with out of network providers and when realizing the mistake told us to do it on our own, still without explanation as to why. Told if we want explanation we have to set up another 150 dollar appt to meet face to face

This Dr. needs her license pull. Very incompetent . she does not listen to her patient. office does not return calls or they do not have record of messages.

Mom saw doc for shortness of breath and trouble speaking. Ordered CT scan and bloodwork. After one week and no communication from office, Mom called and they did not call her back. Daughter called the next day and office did not return calls. Was told to check online. Patient records online different when got to office and she said, "Can't understand why this former patient keeps showing up." Keeps her head in laptop and talks to herself. We questioned her on different lab values, online and office. She asked to copy and paste records online because she had no explanation. When we got home, all records had been changed to reflect what she said in office. Someone in office cya. We do not know whose records belong to whom!!! Made referral appointment with gastroenterologist but failed to tell us. Did not call in prescription refills. "Someone" keeps dropping the ball at this office. Last words to my mother, "You are anemic, no problem with your heart. We had to make A SECOND… appointment with gastro for anemia since we were never informed of first one.. He referred my mom to cardiologist. So much for "no problem with your heart.' Very incompetent physician in my opinion. Do not send elderly relative without advocate. Only interested in "spa retail products' lining shelves of office and botox with a sign saying $10!!!! Elderly mom got her from phone book. Do not make same mistake!!!
