Dr. Helen Yung Kang, MD

Horrible.

Anyone choosing Dr. Kang should be aware that she feels that eating meat is the number one cause of cancer recurrence, she does not believe in prescription medicine to treat post operative pain, and she presently has surgical privileges at only one hospital, Hollywood Presbyterian.

Extremely reliable, knowledgeable and caring. I wish her every personal and professional success.

Amazing physician

My wife saw Dr. Kang. When reading the 2012 review, remember that surgeons' offices are usually not real busy - people don't go to a surgeon for flu or a sore throat. Dr. Kang is board certified in surgery, and did a fellowship in breast surgery at USC. But yes, she does talk a lot.

There is no wait time in her office (probably because all of her patients have run for their lives). She seems like she has a serious lack of knowledge. She never gives straight answers as far as diagnosing because she doesn't know herself. But she does like to talk A LOT. She talks about everything under the sun except the thing that you came in for. Look, if you need to find a general surgeon, go somewhere else.
