I saw this nurse for the first time and was floored in the way she spoke to me. She could have cared less what I was there for? She didn’t listen to hardly a word I said. Just turned what I did say into malarkey! Maybe she was having a bad day but no medical professional has the right to speak to a patient the way I was. Humans in my life don’t treat me bad why would I allow someone I am supposed to trust and respect treat me like dirt? Maybe she feels she has enough patients?? She certainly took long enough to come into the room. Then kept going back and forth from the room to I don’t know where? This was my first time seeing a nurse practitioner. No physician I have ever seen my entire life continues to leave the exam room? I understand there are emergencies, etc. She never said anything about that. Or apologized it took her forever to come in the room. I told her I had a surgery coming up (trying to get established as a patient) and she rudely and blustered out THIS… PRACTICE DOES NOT GIVE PAIN MEDICINES!! What lady!?? No one asked you for any pain meds!?? If you would have waited for me to finish I would have explained I was already under the care of a neuro surgeon!?? It was like a trigger for her or something? She just got more rude. Like I was a crack head or something! Folks, I have a silver head of hair on me, have a heart condition and am overweight. I sat on the bench in ******* County in ** for 40 years. I came to this community to retire and enjoy myself. Not to be harassed by some nurse? I’m not a pill head or a crack addict and the last time I checked that wasn’t for a nurse to even determine. If you were so convinced I had come to you for pills, what happened to my conversation with you about being established as a new patient. What part of I don’t need anything from you today except I wanted to get to know you and explain about my health and background. I needed a new provider and you failed me. I have a feeling I’m not the only one! I clearly should have investigated healthcare options before relocating here. You were too busy barking at me, accusing me of something so far off (really floored me) and you just weren’t the least bit pleasant.
