Dr. Helen Chin-Chang Na-Chuang, MD

Seeking new GYN for my daughter. Called to find out what insurance they take, the person was very ignorant. All we wanted to know was if they take her insurance. We were told to look through 'the book'. We were just a little confused because there are so many insurance, we wanted to make sure. We didn't need an attitude.

I recently visited Dr. Helen Na-Chuang for some routinary exams that my PD recommended. I should have taken it as a red flag, when I was searching for a OBGYN, that most doctors had a 3 to 6 month waiting list. I discredited my gut and went with this doctor that had immediate availability. This is by far one of the worst decisions I have ever made. Bear in mind, this decision affects my health. To begin with: Not one concern overall in regards to any questions that I had, she just kept nodding, as if she wasn't even paying attention. Her examination was so poor, I am left wondering , if God forbid I have any condition her poor examination will reveal anything. After her "examination" I complained that I had a lower pelvic pain among other uncomfortable symptoms, I auto diagnosed myself and suggested that I had all the signs of a UTI, she brushed it off and said "you don't", mind you, no urinary exam performed to prove me wrong, just her assumption. Afterwards, she left me… waiting in the room for about 20 minutes. I had to actually come outside and ask someone if my exam was done. I had to stop an aid that was passing by to ask her if she knew what I was waiting for, also because of the pain that I was experiencing I had to ask the aid if she can please provide me with a cup so I could leave my urine sample being that the doctor never ordered anyone to give me one. By this time I am in tears because I am extremely uncomfortable and in pain. To top it off the aid wrote my name wrong on the cup and intended to send the sample like that to the lab. I had to ask her for another cup. I had to leave that dreadful office and search for an urgent care that would take my symptoms seriously. As it turned out I had a severe UTI, they immediately placed me on strong antibiotics and told me I did the right thing , as it was going to get worse. DR. CHUANG thought it would be a great idea to wait 4-5 days for my urine sample to come back and DETERMINE IF I NEEDED ANTIBIOTICS!! Ladies, if overall you care about your health. If you find that you might have a condition I advise you at all cost to avoid this doctor. I am left to wonder who left the positive comments and to question the validity of their contents. I encourage everyone to leave their comments, these are very helpful when making wise choices to whom we trust our health to. There are doctors that should NOT take the Hippocratic Oath and "DR" Helen Na- Chuang is a perfect example. Thank you for your time.

Dr. Na-Chuang is a great MD. I like her and I have been her patient for 10 years.

I have been a patient of Dr. Na's for over 12 years. She has true passion for her profession. A great bedside manner. She took great care of me during my pregnancy and at my son's delivery. Highly recommended!

Comfortable doctor but unorganized,unprofessional and not too smart office staffs.

Dr Na was recommended to me from my previous OBGYN because he was retiring and boy was he right!!! 3 kids later and I would have another 20 with her if I could. She is not only extremely educated and knowledgable, but very comforting and companionate. I recommend her to everyone I know all the time!! She is truly one of the sweetest people I know!!!!

She combines professionalism and genuine care. She listens to her patients and prescribes the right tests based on her understanding of the concern. Unlike many doctors, her knowledge is not limited to her academic education.

Office staff unpleasantly unfriendly & incompetent by sending a bill when visit was covered. dr.is a rude MOCKER.

I should have listened to my friend who had Dr Na as her GYN. This friend was never notified of an abnormality on one of her breast exams, until SHE called in for the results. I had never really dealt much with her office staff until I became pregnant, that is when I noticed the incompetence of her practice. They would schedule me for the wrong place for a sonogram, then I was never notified that I was RH negative after a pregnancy blood test, neither was I advised that they need my spouse 's blood type to determine if his blood is incompatible. I would keep getting referred to outside clinics for my sonograms, with a male doctor. I give up on this doctor. Think her and her staff need to get it together before they really harm a patient or two.
