Dr. Helen Wen Yang, MD

I've been going to Dr. Yang for nearly 15 years. I think she's smart and listens well. People complain because they don't get a particular service that may have nothing to do with the quality of this doctor. Give her a try. She's interesting and knowledgeable.

Dr Yang used to be a wonderful doctor. She has seen me, my family and many friends for over 15 years now. I am sad to post this but many attempts to ignore the decline of her practice, and bring different issues to her attention that are significant, have not made it possible for me and others to continue seeing her. She is fundamentally a good person but she hasn’t been offering the Chinese medicine that was the core reason we started with her many years ago and instead just orders labs, encouraging you to go to the LabCorp office she rents space to inside her clinic where there is the most unfriendly and unkind person drawing blood that I’ve ever dealt with. She claims no one else has said anything about the tech but I’ve learned that’s not true. She also said she has no say over who is there, but it reflects poorly on her practice nonetheless. My husband and I have also been totally ignored about recent needs: sleep study order and we have asked 7 times for the referral since the… appointment Dr Yang said she’d order it; results of important lab work; and most recently clarifying labs she wanted done to the lab I go to...they couldn’t do the lab work without her indicating exactly which ones and I called and asked that they fax it in and I never got a response. Many more issues but don’t want to invest more energy in this. A detailed letter was sent to her office over a week ago sharing feedback and I’ve not gotten any response. I sent it hoping something in there may inspire her to revisit the way she used to practice vs now. She used to have a busy practice but now it appears it has dwindled. Her website indicates she practices Chinese medicine but that hasn’t been our experience for many years now.

Dr. Yang is a great doctor. She has clear clinical thinking on diagnosis and treatment. Thanks!!!

She cares more about making money than my problems. Make me spend money and do some blood test which proved to be unnecessary. Stay away.

Dr. Yang is very caring, extremely thorough and knowledgable. She maintains excellent rapport with her patients and focuses on wellness.
