Dr. Helena M Radomska, MD

Without the support of Dr. Radomska, I would still be a “hot mess.” I have been the patient of a number of other psychiatrists, but they just would hand me a prescription and never delve deeper into the psychological and social factors affecting my stagnant isolation. I have NEVER had an instance where I left her office worse than when I arrived. Yes, she is incredibly professional, but she goes beyond that: she connects with her patients in a sincere way. She takes real interest in her patient’s well-being and she maintains a sunny disposition, even during the most hectic emergencies. She’s literally one in a million.

Dr. Radomska showed her expertise in identifying domestic abuse, narcissistic abuse, emotional abuse, and psychological abuse when she accurately pointed out the abuse in my situation. She got me out of an abusive and potentially dangerous relationship. Today, merely months later, I am thriving again. I cannot thank her enough!

This is Dr. Helena Radomska. Since this site doesn’t give me opportunity to reply to the previous reviewer, let me explain the situation. The way the offices are arranged on the 6th flour is soon as you get out off the elevator there is admition desk and waiting area with 6 comfortable chairs. To get to my office you have to go through a hallway that has security code to enter or around the admission desk. To go through admission area you have to be allowed by the person who is doing admissions. This Patient presumably waited for the admission person to leave the desk and sneak around to get to my office. She than proceeded to enter my office without knocking. I was surprised to see a unfamiliar person in my office and I asked her who she was. Than Patient clearly caught illegally entering my office started yelling. She was way too early for her appoitment so I tried to redirect her to the waiting area. Because I gues, she didn’t wanted to be humiliated by the incident, sneaking pass… the admission, she continued to yell and exit the flour in the hurry. I have had incidences when Patient still prescriptions and I make sure I lock my office when I’m not there. I’m not locking the door when I’m in the office. This patient clearly was not looking for help but trouble. Her accusations are unfounded and I have witnesses for the incident from a colleague who is next door, Dr. Donald Bryant. She is professional, explaining her rational of why she is giving you the medicine she is giving you. I had different medication in mind and she told me that that medicine was not for me. She went and prescribed it for me regarless, tellling me that we are going to just waist time. I wish I had been listening to her. She is knowledgable about not only her specialty but she is trying to help you be more efficient and lead healthier life. She is an inspiration to me.

Once I realized that psychiatrists and medications are an essential component of an overall health and wellness plan, I was able to connect with her. Initially, I had been resistant, believing for 3 decades that any pharmaceutical intervention would not be effective or the risks associated with psychiatric care outweighed any of the benefits. In my case nothing could have been farther from the truth. She patiently endured my confrontational and antagonistic behavior and helped stabilize me. This has allowed me to explore other therapeutic approaches and improved the quality of my life. I will always be grateful to her for doing this:)

I've been working with Dr. Radomska for about 6 months now and find her to be an excellent doctor. She possesses a unique combination of medical expertise and human compassion. I can't describe how much that lets me know she's genuinely concerned about helping me.I felt compelled to share my thoughts with the internet community that my experience with her has been wonderful. She is punctual, organized and takes time to discuss conditions in a way that makes sense to me. Each of our meetings is a continuation of the previous and we make progress each and every time. My previous doctor viewed me as an object whereas Dr. Radomska wants to understand not just the 'what' of the matter, but 'why' and 'how' can we make it better beyond medication.Seeking out her help has made my life much better and I hope that other people do the same. They should, and they will be glad they did.
