Dr. Helena Reichman, MD

Dr. Reichman has been my OBGYN for over 14 years. She provides the upmost care, information and compassion at every visit. Her expertise and compassion she has for her patients can be matched by no other physician in my eyes. She makes you feel at ease when doing examinations and assures to explain the process as she goes. Her staff was wonderful and caring at my last visit, which is always appreciated. I will never see another doctor for my care . She is truly the best!

I did a lot of research on obgyn after I found out I am pregnant. A friend of mine told me that she drove hours throughout her pregnancy bc she wanted Dr Reichman to deliver her baby. After lots of research I ended up calling Dr Reichmans office and make an appointment for myself. I loved her from the first minute. She is very blind honest, super knowledgeable and I would trust my life on her any day. She want above an d beyond throughout my pregnancy.. She is not the average doctor you see out there. She works alone and will deliver your baby herself! I loved that! I don’t want to see 5-7 different doctors and not know who will be with me on the big day... I felt very comfortable seeing her when my pain started to kick in.. Both myself and my husband agreed that driving 55 minutes to see her throughout my pregnancy was the best decision we made. I delivered naturally w no epidural ( my choice) and because how knowledgeable she was and how she guided me through each contraction each… move I only had a first degree tear!!! It is unbelievable. this was my first pregnancy and my baby was 8.11 lb so it’s not a raisin size either. LOL She came to visit us every single day while we were in the hospital and answered all my questions. I felt like a family member came in.. that’s how close we’ve got, and that’s how much comfortably we faked. You want to make sure you choose someone who will care for YOU and will be there for YOU and you are not just a number. I would choose her and drive there again and I can guarantee you, I will if I have a second baby. Best obgyn in Florida in our opinion! Timea and Scott L.

I just moved to the area and left my OB that took care of my mom and other family members and delivered my daughter and all my nieces. i was worried I wouldnt find a doctor like mine. but dr reichman has exceeded my expectations and feel so comfortable in her care. Ashley at front desk has been so helpful in getting my records and even when i call for the silliest thing (not silly to me but i know they hear every mom with same concerns) they listen patiently, get back to me promptly, and allow me to come in to ease my concerns with the pregnancy. love the choice I made

Overall, my experience has been okay. I selected this OB primarily because of appointment promptness and attention to patients. I will admit I've been agitated my first two appointments due to the extensive wait time. I have gotten solutions to all my questions re: medications to deal with issues I never knew pregnant women dealt with. The front desk staff has been courteous to me so no real issue there. And I like that when I call I speak with a person instead of having to leave a message. Dr. Helena actually called me late evening the same day I made an inquiry- I appreciate that. I wish blood work was done at the same location, it's kinda a pain to go in for heartbeat and blood pressure, go somewhere else for the ultrasound and a third place for blood work. I can't imagine how moms with limited flexibility cope.

I do not ever rate people. But I feel very strongly about this. This doctor is so unprofessional. Staff is rude. A truly horrible experience. There are so many good OB/GYN doctors in Tampa. Do NOT choose her.

The front desk staff was so rude I would not come back to this office even if this was only obgyn in the area. Luckily, there are plenty of other very good doctors in the area. The overweight hispanic woman at the front desk dared to make a comment behind the glass about my age and why anyone my age would want to have another baby. The glass is not sound proof you rude c***. I will never come back to this office again. The doctor is knowledgeable, but to allow your staff to treat patients in such a rude nasty way is unacceptable. This doctor does not like to listen to your opinions on your health care either. It is her way or the highway.

Dr. Reichman is fantastic. Her staff... not so much. Not friendly, not compassionate. You call with an issue that might be not easy to talk about and they don't seem like they can be bothered.

When I came to the office, I saw another patient had checked in for an appointment at the same time. I asked the receptionist if that was for the same thing I was there for (to see the doctor). The receptionist said it was an appointment for something else. Later, when the doctor came in, she very harshly berated me for daring to ask the receptionist about this "double booking," and threatened me never to do it again. She sent me to get a mammogram and ultrasound due to pain I was experiencing. I found a place that could do the tests within a few days, and waited for the doctor to call back, as she said she would. She did not, so I called the office, only to get a message that the office was closed for a 1.5 weeks vacation that I was never told about. I called the place where the tests were run, and was informed they sent the results to the doctor two days before she left on vacation -- she could have called me before she left, or she could have told me she was leaving on… vacation, instead, she chose to leave, fully knowing I was worried and in pain, and make me wait two unnecessary weeks to hear back from her (which I didn't -- I had to call the office back after they reopened and leave a message for the doctor to call me back). I have filed a complaint about this doctor and she is well aware of my grievances. She has never thought to apologize for leaving me in pain and uncertainty for two weeks while she was on vacation, while the tests results are sitting on her desk and were received before leaving for vacation.
