I'm pretty sure this woman is only still employed because of to whom she is married. She is disorganized, distracted, judgemental, patronizing and overall inept- all while smiling and asking you to forgive her because she's had such a busy day. It took her 8 weeks to send a letter after routine labs were abnormal- with no suggestions for follow up, merely "if you are concerned call my nurse and she'll call you back". As it turned out, follow up was indeed needed, but in her mind it was up to me to initiate it. She tells you she is prescribing medications, then forgets to enter it in the computer- leaving it to her staff and the pharmacy to pick up the pieces. After an abnormal EKG she referred me for a stress test two weeks later. When I got there they told me she had ordered the wrong test- that an echocardiogram was needed. It is no accident that she is accepting new patients, nor that one can get an appointment for a yearly physical in a week or two- anyone who knows her… knows to stay away from her.

Dr Barnes has been my pc for over 20 yrs, and in that time, she has seen me through deliveries, miscarriages, sciatica, cancer and now fibromyalgia. Sometimes it may take time to get an appt for say a physical but for reg stuff, I have never had a problem. If it is an emergency (to me anyway) there has always another doc who can see me when she doesn't have an opening.she has never stopped searching for a dx, and even found my cancer because of a hunch (was told by a specialist, " you're lucky she found your cancer now, otherwise you would not have seen your grand daughter enter school") if she ever retires, I don't know what I'll do
