Henry B. Ellis, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, medical director of clinical research and program director for the Orthopedic Sports Fellowship at Scottish Rite for Children. He is an associate professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and sees patients at our Frisco and Dallas campus.

Our story began in 1921, …when a coalition of Texas Masons invited Dallas’s first orthopedic surgeon, Dr. W.B. Carrell, to treat children stricken by polio. As vaccines such as Salk and Sabin all but eliminated polio across the Western Hemisphere, we channeled our expertise into a broader spectrum of orthopedic challenges.

Today, our unwavering commitment to excellence drives us to pioneer new treatments, spearhead transformative research and train health-care professionals around the globe—all with a singular purpose: to give children back their childhood.
