Dr. Henry Ames Finn, MD

I was referred to Dr. Henry Finn over 20 years ago because of a severe case of Staph. A Ft. Wayne orthopedics doctor wanted to cut it off above the knee. The same doctor referred me to Chicago and Dr. Finn. Dr. Finn performed several surgeries on my knee to eventually save it. Dr. Finn also operated on many notable professional athletes in America. Thanks to Dr. Finn, I’ve still walking very well 20 plus years later!

2007 I have contracted a bacterial infection in my right hip. Dr. Finn because my surgeon as a result of referral to handle my complications. He used a prosthetic he had invented for just such a case. 24 hours after 1st surgery, I was on my feet with a temporary replacement that remained for 2 and 1/2 years, as it was glued in with a bacterial antibiotic to fight the infection. I am still walking on the permanent replacement he put in, in 2009. 13 years of trouble and pain free walking.

Dr. Finn is a true healer! He healed my mother and gave her back her life! I have met numerous orthopedic doctors in my life since I was a teenager, and with Dr. Finn...I trusted him implicitly. My mother is on the younger side and needed a hip replacement revision. Her case was extremely special and severe since her old hip replacement was about to break her pelvis. He healed her! She can walk with a walker again! But, most importantly, Dr. Finn is incredibly kind, intelligent, honest and caring. And Betty? She’s so amazing, intelligent and helpful! I am forever thankful for Dr. Finn and his amazing staff. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for saving my mother!

No doctors wanted to replace my left knee because I had extensive surgeries on the leg as a child which included an ankle that barely moved. I had a full leg brace custom made for support and that barely eased the pain in my knee even with various shots. My right hip was bothering me and I was afraid it was going bad when my sister suggested i see Dr. Finn. When I was examined by Dr. Finn he told me my right hip was alright just overworked, but he told me he could fix my left knee. Dr. Finn replaced my knee, but then I fell and broke the hip on the same left leg. Dr. Finn came back early from vacation to take care of my hip. The left side was evidently weaker than the right all the way around. I am still in therapy rebuilding muscles, but I can walk and even climb stairs as long as there are sturdy railings. I have aches and pain after heavy duty therapy. Normal movement and walking is pain free for the first time in my life.

Dr Finn is an awesome man both as a physician and someone who cares for others. He saved my mother life and I thank him dearly.

Having both knees replaced by Dr. Finn was one of the best medical decisions I have made. I have full use of my knees now with no pain at all.

DR.FINN & STAFF ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT. THEY SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOU AND ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS. POST-OP THE WHOLE TEAM DOES ROUNDS WITH HIM AND ENCOURAGES PATIENTS THAT ALL IS WELL AND RECOVERY WILL BE QUICK AND YOU WILL BE HOME VERY SHORTLY. IN MY CASE 2 DAYS! HE ALSO INTRODUCES THE WHOLE POST-OP TEAM THAT WILL BE WORKING WITH YOU, I MYSELF HAVE HAD MY TOTAL RIGHT HIP REVISION DONE, MY TOTAL LEFT KNEE DONE AND RECENTLY A TOTAL LEFT KNEE REPLACEMENT DONE BY DR. FINN. I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT ALL STAFF INVOLVED FROM PARKING VALETS, TO PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, TO STAFF NURSES, AND RN BETTY LEE-ING AND ALL OTHERS I FORGOT TO MENTION THANK YOU ONE AND ALL FOR AN OTHERWISE DISMAL SITUATION AND MAKING IT A VERY TOLERABLE EXPERIENCE. I STILL HAVE ANOTHER HIP LEFT SO WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN.
