Dr. Henry Lepore, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Lepore's for a number of years and have always received the best attention to my needs of any doctor that I have ever visited. He is very capable and does superior work. I would also mention that all of Dr. Lepore's nurses and staff give excellent support in this medical practice.

I’ started seeing De Lepore after my neurosurgeon told me he couldn’t do anything else for me. After 5 back surgeries I was left in great pain and feeling hopeless. Made an apt with Dr Lepore and it was the best phone call I could have made. He’s extremely knowledgeable and has helped manage my chronic back and hip pain. He is friendly and helpful and his staff always manages to fit me in even when I call last minute. They too have been wonderful. For pain management I receive injections and very mild pain medication. He does not over prescribe and is very careful about drug interactions. Highly recommend.

Heard good things about the doctor but the front office staff are unprofessional and very discourteous.

Was a chronic pain patient of Lepore for years & years..even putting up with his rude & hateful wife! Who brings dogs into a “professional” environment! Went in for my reg visit & was ask to submit a drug test which was fine! I been a pain patient for over 30 yrs! Was told to leave specimen on the back of the toilet. I noticed several were already there! Not to mention they were not sealed or labeled! I expressed concern over my test may get mixed up. Told by Amy that everything would be fine! Next visit I was told a “slight trace” of something was found.. I was absolutely furious not to mention speechless! I demanded another 1 where I could witness it being sealed & labeled alone! With my name & in my presence! Was denied & dismissed! Like being put in prison when your totally innocent!

I went to Dr Lepore for years & years. I did like him at 1st! He seemed to be compassionate & understanding & we tried numerous treatments before having to go to my last resort which was pain meds! I knew that was it for me! As a pain patient I tried it all even unconventional medicine going on pain meds I knew there’s no going back! I had to admit to myself that I’m never going to be pain free but I do deserve a quality life so if meds is how I get that? Then so be it! I’m an RN MSN & well aware of pain meds & how they act! I understand there is a huge problem with opiate addiction & there are people only seeking pain meds! However, there are those of us who truly need them so we can just try to have a quality life! We deserve that just as much as anyone else! So drop the judging! They make pain meds for a reason! Just cuz someone is on them does not make them any kind of dope head!! Sometimes I think these nay sayers are just jealous cuz they can’t get them! U can judge me after u… have walked in my shoes! Anyways this review is not related to that! Dr Lepore does regular drug testing & I completely understand why & I have never had any problems with that! I have been a pain patient for over 25 yrs so I’m use to the testing & I certainly don’t mind it! I have nothing to hide! The staff is constantly running here & there & nobody seems to know which way to go! There’s always a wait to see Dr Lepore but it’s not bad at all! His wife works with him in the office & she has to be the rudest person ever! No matter how nice u are to her she is hateful! She doesn’t need to be dealing with the public as she doesn’t have the people skills that’s needed! She also brings dogs in his practice which is completely unprofessional & unsanitary! Some people have allergies!! I arrived for my regular visit & as usual the girl (I am not sure if she has a title or not) her name is Amy. She handed me my specimen cup & told me to leave it on the back of the toilet...understand these samples are not covered or has any names on them! This particular visit I noticed there was several specimens already on the back of the toilet where I was told to leave mine! I expressed concerns that my test may be mixed up with someone else’s & how there was already several specimens there on the back of the toilet! Amy told me not to worry she would make sure no mix up would happen! Still very uneasy I spoke my concerns to Dr Lepore & he assured me that everything was good so I got my scripts & made my next appt & left! Came back the next month & was checked in & in my room waiting on Dr Lepore....he came in & the 1st thing he said was “we have a problem” I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about! Until he told me that my drug test showed very light traces of thc! I almost fainted! I have never ever failed any drug test in over 25+ yrs! I was completely speechless! That has never ever happened to me before!! I do not use any illegal drugs especially weed!! I don’t even smoke cigs!! I told him there has to be a mix up somewhere! The mix up is within the staff & specifically Amy for telling me to leave my specimen on the back of the toilet among all those others which were unlabeled! She had no clue who’s test was who’s! None had names on them she was going by the “time” of your visit! Ex the 8am patient was specimen #1... then beside that 1 was the 9am & so on! There was no order! They all got mixed up with each other & nobody knew what was what!! I was furious & still am! I will never get over that because none of it was true! It’s like being in prison when u know for a fact your innocent! After all of the years I had been a patient of his & all of the test I had passed..I wanted a new test! 1 that I knew was 100% mine! I was told no by Dr Lepore & I would be dismissed as a patient! That was extremely unfair! I thought all of the years I had been a patient there & a perfect history of passing every single drug test ever given me..the mix up all of that should have been taken into consideration before denying me a fair test! Amy didn’t want it to look bad on her nor did she want to admit she had made a huge mistake that cost me my Dr & my integrity! She was 100% in the wrong & had she been a decent person she would have said that & gave us all a new test! Everyone who was there that day should have been given another test & had it sealed & labeled 1 @ a time in our presence!! We have no clue what happens to our test after we leave it! Not once did I see any of his staff take my specimen seal it label it & bag it while in my presence! As pain patients if we are gong to be subjected to these test then they need to be administered in a professional manner! Cuz of his staffs incompetence I lost my Dr! Today I have a new Dr that I love but the mistrust & deception of his staff & his unwillingness to admit..yes something could have been mixed up...there were multiple samples that were unlabeled...with that as well as our years of visits & clean tests should have been taken into consideration thus allowing all of us that had an appointment that day a fresh new test that was sealed & labeled in our presence! I did like him but not admitting guilt & making things right...not so much!

what a crock!!!

I saw Lepore several years for chronic pain. Was on several pain meds per month. Never abused them. Went in for regular check one day and out of the blue he stops my meds. Would not explain why. Would not recommend him!!!!

I first started seeing Dr Lepore a couple of years ago but then I went to Florida! But I've moved back to SC! So of course I've started seeing Dr Lepore again! I find the doctor very intelligent & I've never had issues with the Office staff ! Everyone has always been very nice to me!

My experience with Dr Lepore has been great. He takes time to listen to his patients and explain things. Most doctors have the knowledge but miss the mark when communicating with their patients. I have not found that to be the case with Dr. Lepore. Physical therapist and nurse are nice as can be, helpful and knowledgeable. His front office staff however is rude, dismissive, and arrogant. The office manager is a large part of the issue. All these reviews regarding the staff's rudeness is because everyone else is the problem, according to her. If I had known I was going to have to tolerate these attitudes to see a doctor I would have chosen a different doctor from the start. It's a real shame, not only do the patients deserve better but Dr Lepore does as well. As another reviewer said- to leave a competent doctor you like because of the staff's rudeness, well that's saying a lot.

This doctor believes in me...I trust him completely....He has worked with me and my chronic pain due to a drunk driver...I turned into a disabled man in one night....I trust this doctor with my life...I'm glad he is strict, as he should be, ..Thanking God for Dr. Henry Lepore!!
