Dr. Herbert Crosby Becker, MD

I have one star because I couldn’t give zero. He might be the rudest individual to foul this earth. Truly a pathetic example of the human specimen.

Stay AWAY! I had photo-coagulation done on my eye at this office by Dr. Becker. the surgery did not fix my problem and was still experiencing issues that could lead to blindness for months after, I went back to see the doctor several times and he assured me that everything looked good and there were no problems. about a week after seeing the doctor for the last time I woke up with a 50% vision loss. when I called the office and explained that I had a detached retina they said that Dr. Becker wasn't in but there was another doctor I could see "immediately". after wasting most of my morning in a waiting room the doctor explained that She wasn't a retina specialist and that I needed to see another doctor in another facility several miles away. by the time I got to that office I had to wait till the next day to have emergency surgery. I wasted an entire day with them while I was at risk of going totally blind. After all that they still want me to pay for the visit where they had me see… a doctor who literally could do nothing for me and INCREASED my risk of going blink. DO NOT trust this office with your precious vision. they seem to be more worried about bills than their patients.

Dr Becker is very personable and caring physician, he treated my mother for retinal issues and she did very well.

The exam was rushed and the doctor was rude. Did not explain anything and rushed out of the room.

Most notably, Dr Becker's staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Becker is very knowledgeable in his specialty and has made such a huge difference in my son's vision. My son has seen him since he (son) was 15 months old and is now 10. His eyes were VERY crossed and are now straight. Yes, there have been times when Dr B has swooshed in and out of the room very quickly. But not before he asked if I had questions. I got answers when I've had questions. Being in the Rockford area for only 2 days/week, I know he sees a lot of patients and I appreciate that he keeps a fairly decent on-time record.

dr becker is a expert at what he does.he is very caring in his work. he's taken care of my granddaugther and father inlaw. now i see him.

This Doctor "churns" his patients.

He did nothing to help our 8 year old and "churned" us, where he would spend 1 minute or so with us and would then leave. We would then be billed for $200 dollars. We would have to chase him out of the room asking him questions, as he didnt really say much, was unfriendly and left no time for actually helping our little boy. We complained to the hospital (RMH) and were not helped in anyway.

This man "churns" his patients, whereby he will schedule many appointments with patients and then end them in around 2 minutes or less. The ...
