Dr. Hilleary C Rockwell, MD

Do not let the appearance of the waiting room fool you AT ALL! There is no high tech toys. No TV with cartoons or interactive gear to distract you by a long wait. You sign in with the sweetest lady at the front desk. She knows you and your children because she has been there since I walked in the door in 2006. After a few minutes, the same MA that did her externship there, calls your child name and she checks you in. You’re put in a room and within 10-15 minutes, a polite knock on the door is followed by the same Doctor who’s name is on the practice sign. He always has a smile, isn’t afraid to engage with your child. He actually will ask your children questions instead of looking to me if they are of age to answer. I can count on 1 hand the times he has prescribed antibiotics to all 3 of my children. If immunizations, prescriptions, or any other questions that do not require Dr Rockwell, you always are greeted by Dawn. She treats everyone the same and is approachable and… knowledgeable of the office, the insurances, the immunizations, medications, and I can tell Dr Rockwell would be lost without these 3 ladies that do impact the exquisite care children receive from this Pediatrician. I travel far away to keep my children’s pediatrician. I trust him AND his staff. My children trust him and his staff. Thank you to this wonderful team of medical professionals that I am very grateful for!!!

We went through 2 other pediatricians with my daughter before we chose him, the others were horrid. Dr. Rockwell's office is friendly and fast. We've maybe waited 5 minutes max in the lobby. They ALWAYS get you in same day if needed. I have waited for maybe a max of 20 minutes in a room. He doesn't always agree with me, but he's very friendly and accommodating.

WE have been going to Dr. Rockwell since our childrens births and have been very pleased. He is very knowledgeable and professional and has taken care of our children for over 18 years. WE always feel confident that he will treat and cure the illness.

I have been going to Dr. Rockwell for over 14 years, when I was young and now my children. He has excellent bedside manners, He truly cares about his patients and is willing to go above and beyond his duties. He is the only Doctor I trust with my childrens lives, and for that Im truly grateful. His office staff is amazing so supportive and understanding they truly love helping children. If your child is sick they can make same day appointments and will never turn you away. I pray he doesn't retire for many many years!

I was a patient of Dr. Rockwell's many years ago, but I didn't realize how unique a physician he is until I began PA school and did a rotation in his office. After doing 8 rotations with many different doctors, I feel that Dr. Rockwell cares more for his patients than any other physician I've trained with. He gives a lot of consideration to how he treats people, including the patients, their parents, and his staff. He is also a very skilled physician who knows when someone is really sick and when they're not. I have recommend Dr. Rockwell to multiple friends who are expecting, and will continue to do so.

This office is a very rare find. I call it Jacksonvilles best kept secret. Your child is a person here. Not a number or a claim. My son is Autistic and the office staff has been the same for the past 6 years. The staff is knowledgeable and I feel confident in the care my children receive. I have met with Dr. Rockwell without my children for concerns about my children and was given the same 5 star care, concern, and results. The staff deserves a huge thank you for never making me as the parent feel that I am bothersome. I am very proud when referring other parents to this office. My son has come a long way, and I never stepped a foot into CARDS services. Dr. Rockwell is brilliant, understanding, and compassionate enough to manage the medical care of my children. Thank you Dr. Rockwell and his amazing, AMAZING staff!

We have been taking our children to Dr Rockwell for over 10 years now and we have been extremely pleased with the care our children receive. We have a large family and 4 out of 5 of our children have varying degrees of asthma. Dr Rockwell handles their care expertly. Our youngest has had a few lengthy hospitalizations with lung issues which kind of turned me into a nervous nelly mom. If she gets sick with a virus that affects her lungs, I don't wait it out. Not once has Dr Rockwell EVER make me feel like a neurotic mom even when I brought her in for a minor issue. And when it was more then a minor issue, I feel confident that he has helped us avoid a few hospitalizations through treatment. Generally speaking, there have been a few times that I disagreed with Dr Rockwell's initial recommendation (immunizations and food suggestions for infants) but I felt comfortable discussing my concerns. One time, he came around to my viewpoint and another time I came around to his. I'll be… sad when our youngest 'graduates' from Dr. Rockwell's office. I consider Dr Rockwell a part of our family team.

I was a new mother and my child was sick a lot. I thought I was doing something wrong but I followed Dr Rockwells suggestion about getting a family member to watch my son instead of the ChildCare he was going to. It was almost like magic that he wasnt sick at all for the next year even a cold! I thank God for Dr Rockwell and his wonderful staff and we would gladly refer our friends to him also.
