Dr. Hitesh Pravin Amin, MD

I saw Dr. Hitesh Amin in April and later decided to cancel the scheduled surgery in May due to the unprofessional behavior of his front desk staff and office manager. They were rude, dismissive, and made me feel uncomfortable from the beginning. When I called to cancel, I was told I had to come in and meet with the doctor just to cancel, and I was charged for that visit — something I was never told ahead of time. During the visit, the doctor explained he needed to know why I was canceling, but at no point was I informed that this would be a billable appointment submitted to insurance. I believe patients deserve clear communication and full transparency about charges before being scheduled for anything. This experience left me feeling disrespected, unheard, and financially taken advantage of. I would not recommend this office to others based on how poorly the administrative side handles patient care.

I have been very pleased with Dr Amin. He listens. He’s engaging and he’s very knowledgeable. I was very nervous about such a major surgery, but he was able to give me all the facts, the risks, and the reason why the surgery was beneficial to me. I came through the surgery successfully And today I am pounds lighter. Thanks to Dr Amin.

This review is solely based on the initial visit. Met with the doctor and his staff in the Rockville location. Scheduling was easy, personable, and prompt. Unlike other doctors, the office staff is really very nice and personable. The doctor seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. I’m the type of patient to do a whole lot of research prior, I also have a medical background.

This was my initial visit with Dr. Amin at his Greenbelt location and everything went as well as I wanted to. The staff was very pleasant and my wait to see the doctor wasn’t long. Once I met with Dr. Amin and told him my goals he quickly went over a plan with involved two options to accomplish my goal. He explained everything in detail and he too was pleasant and very reassuring. So far I’m very satisfied and looking forward to start my journey.

I have had the absolute best experience with this practice! Everyone is so knowledgeable and calm. I just finished my pre-op appointment and I could not rave about them much more than I already have. Seriously, book an appointment… THEY ARE AMAZING!

Dr. Hitesh Amin and his team are amazing! He really listened to my questions and concerns about having surgery. Dr. Amin has a very calming demeanor. He put me at ease, and I knew I was in good hands. His entire staff are professional and knowledgeable. They were very responsive to my requests. I have recommended Dr. Amin to my friends and family without hesitation!

Office repeatedly and fraudulently billed me over and above what insurance allowed. After discovering that I had overpaid by several hundred dollars, spent many, many months trying to get a refund. Hours and hours wasted. PLEASE carefully monitor any billings from this office. Horrible experience.

I went to Dr. Hitesh after being under another's care, he was rushed, and didn't take time to question my history. I needed vital medication that was noted in my chart, and he told me he'd have to see me again before calling in a prescription. I took that as he wanted to milk my insurance, and I decided to leave his practice! Danielle his MA, will talk over you when you try to speak to her, and I really didn't like the wait either. They can take you late, but if you are late, they are quick to reschedule! I didn't like the service!

Not a good decision maker while doing surgery

Had surgical procedure performed by Dr. Amin 9/28/17. He's very calming and professional and takes the time to answer any questions you may have at any time.
