Dr. Holly Michele Leeman, MD

I met with Holly as a checkup at around 25 weeks with my husband. At first she was pleasant but as I told her I gained 5 lbs since my last visit 5 weeks prior she became rude and told me I was gaining too much. Ok I can understand this. But second she saw that I had a low lying placenta, very close to the recommended 2cm, which she did not read. The prior doctors at the same clinic gave me no restrictions because it was so close. But not Dr Leeman, she was upset that my husband and I had sex and was very rude in saying we thank god you didn’t bleed. She clearly did not read the chart and did not due her due diligence. Her negative attitude has given me quite a bit of anxiety and has made both my husband and I very upset. I would steer clear as there are many better attentive doctors.

Dr. Leeman is one redeeming quality South Shore Women’s Health. She is thorough in her exams from questions to assessments. She takes the time to get to know you and does not make you feel rushed during appointments. Some of the other physicians in the practice could take some lessons from her and her bedside manner. I would recommend her to any of my friends having a baby or looking for a good OB/GYN. I can’t say enough good things.

I went to Dr Leeman for my first visit the staff right off the bat was very rude. When they called me up to ask me all of those typical yet private pregnancy questions, they didn't even take me to a private room they asked me in the front office where everyone could hear my info. And sometimes those questions are pretty private (I.e. have you had an abortion? Do you have any STDs etc.) then when I got into the room with the dr she asked me the date of my last missed period and I did not know maybe a month ago...and that is how they dated my pregnancy. She never did any kind of infrasound to see how far along I was or if the pregnancy was even viable. I told her it was my first pregnancy and I didn't really know what to expect and she said if I came up with any questions to save them for my next appt. she was very cold but I just assumed she was maybe busy that day. I ended up miscarrying that pregnancy and the whole way through it was a nightmare. I called telling the dr that I was… having extreme bleeding and they told me spitting was normal. I was told I might have to wait a few days for an ultrasound. It was just handled very poorly and her other office that I had to have an appt at looked like a free clinic it was dirty... And very unorganized. My suggestion to you is to stay away from this dr. I am going through my next pregnancy and even with the issues I am having the dr is very helpful and you just feel like you are being treated like a person. A totally different experience from dr Leeman.

Staff lacks knowledge. They are very rude. They give out wrong information. They do not return phone calls. They like to hang up on you. They do not like to apoligize. The doctor does not seemed concerned. They do not set up follow ups and if she does she does not keep it. The worst I have ever been treated.

I saw Dr. Leeman for the first time last week. She was very matter of fact yet friendly. She was reassuring, although I was nervous throughout my examination. She immediately set up an appointment for blood work and an ultrasound for me, instead of my having to call the other clinics and schedule the appointments myself. The clinic is clean and bright, the staff is very capable and upbeat, and the overall experience leaves you feeling trust that they are really motivated to your wellness.

The office on Northgate is in a bad area, in a SHOPPING CENTER. I felt like I was at a teen clinic. Very uncomforatable. They only take cash for co pay. The girl working at the front desk was nice, but not very helpful. Dr. Leeman was not very friendly AT ALL. She didn't seem very caring or interested in why I was even there. The only question she asked me was, 'Do you have any questions." maybe she was having a bad day, but I wouldn't reccomend her, and I won't be going back to her again.

Went in to office to take a pregnancy test on 1-15-10. I was told to take a cup from the basket in bathroom (literally a basket set on a stool in a bathroom) and set sample cup in lab window which was connected to bathroom. These cups were the standard urine sample cups that were NOT sterile.. the cup was stuffed with an alcohol pad without a sterile sticker on outside and without a name tag for patients name. I "peed" in the cup and found another urine sample in the lab window!!! I was asked to wait in front waiting room for my results. A few minutes later the nurse called my name out loud to inform me that my "test was negative & have a good day". I was 99% sure I was pregnant, went to another doctor to find out I am. The worst part is that I was the first patient of that day which means that left over urine sample was from the previous business day. I will NOT be going back to Dr. Leemans' for a return visit!

Over all I have had a great experience with Dr. Leeman! I will go back to her for my nex pregnancy.
