Dr. Holly Lewis, MD

If you want someone who really cares - she's the real deal. So lovely that she's involved in primary care medicine - I wish all PCPs were like her.

I was referred to Dr. Lewis by a friend when my Dr. of 20 years retired. I like Dr. Lewis as a person and feel that she listens while I'm in the office and pays attention to me as a patient. However, I'm mixed on my experience with her because of her follow through. I have a medical condition that requires daily medication and quarterly adjustments to the medications. The times I've been in there with symptoms indicating my meds might not be working, she's tested the meds, and when they come back as fine, she forgets that I had symptoms that created the issue to begin with. Then I have to schedule another appointment, work with her on my symptoms again, and then push her for follow up. I've been on this cycle with her three times now, and I'm still having unresolved issues. She's never said, "I can't help you, you have to suck it up and live with your symptoms." She's always just appeared to drop the ball. She was referred to me as a good Dr. and she's so thorough with the exam… itself, I've wanted to stick it out with her. However, I'm losing patience with her lack of urgency and communication with my unresolved issues. Many times she has communicated with me on next steps, but then I have to remind her that she has next steps to take, that the ball is in her court. Bottom line, I still have unresolved and worsening symptoms after three-four visits and a year of time invested in her as my doctor. I think overall, the American medical system is broken and Dr. Lewis is just another cog in the broken wheel of American medicine.

Dr. Lewis is an amazing doctor. She spends a lot of time with me and makes sure we have covered everything I need to have taken care of. I could go in for one issue, but she is willing to address others as well. I never feel rushed. She is kind and gentle. She has called me after hours to let me know the status of blood work that I was waiting for. I have had to wait in the waiting room and examining room a bit long, but I have decided that it is worth it to me, considering the time she gives me as a patient. I would give her an A-, just because of promptness, other than that, she's great and I would highly recommend her!

This doctor has no bedside manner and does not care about her patents wellbeing. First my father had to beg them to give a simple blood test to my mother that would be able to tell you a lot more about what is happening in your body. She had already had a CT scan and a CAT scan and many other tests to try and figure out the problem. My mother received a phone call at around 7:30 when the doctor proceeded to tell her over the phone that she had cancer, even with surgery and chemo she would only have at best two years. After telling my mother that, instead of referring her to a surgeon that specializes in this kind of cancer she wanted to send her to another doctor in Boulder to do more tests. Huh sounds to me like someone padding another physicianâ??s pockets! My father made the decision to take her directly to Swedish medical where she received the best care and turns out she has no time frame and can be cured. To me this doctor should not be practicing and should leave the real… diagnosing to the specialists who know what they are looking at!!!!! This doctor put me and my family through a lot of unnecessary pain!!!!!!

My mom has a blood test a ct scan and from this the dr calls my mother and tells her she has cancer needs surgery and chemo and might get two years . This was at 7 in the evening . Unprofessional in my book and no compassion . Well we go to a surgeon and mom has surgery . She does have cancer but there is no time frame and she can be cured . This women put us through he// diagnosing something she had no business doing .
