Dr. Holly Umbs

Holly Umbs is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in working with children and adults who have sexual, physical, and /or emotional abuse histories. Holly has also done extensive family therapy. Her clients have primarily had depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, substance abuse issues, and/or faulty thinking. Holly completed her Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling at Geneva College. She holds a Family Based Certification and a certification in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Holly’s clients often aim to get past the past and establish healthy thinking patterns and actions. She enjoys helping her clients realize that their pasts do not have to intrude upon or control their presents. Holly would love to get to know you on a deep, personal level and help you explore what makes you tick, and how you can live your best life. She is a great, nonjudgmental listener. Holly enjoys putting clients at ease and helping them explore realistic, …achievable options to help them meet their goals. She believes that we are living in stressful times, and we can all benefit from talking out our problems with another caring, invested person.
