Dr. Hong Qian, MD

Very poor attitude; an over confident doctor. She not only dismissed my complaints and symptoms. Yet so strong headed, sent me to a long waited psychiatry evaluation. Of course wasted lot of time for diagnosis and treatment. After finally leaving her office, other doctors found out there was truly neurological problem. Reluctant to do tests, to refer to specialists due to over confidence. Also lack of knowledge so didn’t do the right tests.

Agree with those patients who left negative reviews for Qian, after reading those reviews, I know that I'm not alone. Have decided to find a new doctor.

She is very caring and thorough

I've been seeing Dr.Qian for maybe 10 years, and finally have to give up. If you don't have any serious sickness, she's ok. But if you have some real sickness, she doesn't have a clue. For my chronic infection that actually impacted heart and other organs, she gave me anti-depressants! That made me flee finally.

I have seen Dr Qian for several years, some of which I was pregnant and seeing my OB for primary care. I have to say that both before pregnancy and then returning to her afterwards, I have not been impressed with her bedside manner or interest in me as a patient. I am not sure if it's a language barrier, but I feel like she hasn't heard a word I've said and really isn't interested to know what I have to say, which has led to a misdiagnosis as least once. I called her recently for lab results and to discuss the impact on my medication and she never called me back. I wanted to give her another chance and I did, so that's that. I am going to have to find a new PCP.

going to her because of an older friend of mine is her patient. but i did not have good experience with her. first, not accuracy in diagnosing my problem. second, ignoring my inquiries and third, not a good listener.

based on my own experience and my friends', her medical knowledge is so limited in diagnosis. She neglected your symptoms and focus on several areas that she knows: like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc. But if you have infection or suffer from other pain, most likely she won't do anything. She didn't even order blood test on patients who suffered from infection for long long time. Her follow up is ridiculous, too. When I came to see her for opinions, she ignored all my pains and sent me home every time. When I was diagnosed with fatal disease the other day after my last visit to her, she started calling me, as late as 10:00pm. If I was seeing another doctor, I believe my diagnosis can be 2 or 3 months earlier.

I've been going to her for 4-5 years. She disregarding issues I have commenting that I need to loose wait (20 minute lecture) and that's the reason for my problems. I get that I do need to loose wait, but I don't think my weight has anything to do with headaches, issues with my stomach, back musle issues (which turned out to be because I work at a computer all day). I still have the insaine headaches and the stomach issues are getting worse. I was completely disregard like I was being a hypochondriac. I waiting this long to change because she was good to my mother, very respectful, following through on issues etc... but to me... UGH I'll pass thanks!!!!
