His research interests include substance use disorders and medical education.
Dr. Adger is a past president of both the Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse and the National Association for Children of Alcoholics. He is recognized as a national leader and expert in the field of addiction medicine with a focus on adolescents and young adults.
