Dr Starkman and her staff have been very helpful Although I had to do a lot of paper work before seeing the doctor she spent a lot of time with me and figured out my diagnosis when other rheumatologists were not able to. I appreciate how thorough she was.

The doctor spent an hour with me on my first visit. Her staff also was very thorough. I had to answer extensive questionnaire initially thought it was a lot to have to do but when the visit was over I could see why all of the information was important. The doctor ordered more tests and x rays and prescribed medication for pain that I had for 8 months. I was literally pain free like she promised in 2 days. Like a miracle. I’m very thankful for the thoughtful and thorough evaluation and treatment I received.

I had a visit with Dr Starkman this week. She was especially kind in seeing me in person as a new patient during the Covid 19 pandemic being that her office was mostly seeing patients online. She was very nice and spent a great deal of time with me. Her staff was not only kind but also very resourceful in helping to find a place to promptly get my labs and x rays done as well as my x rays. It's been just a few days since my visit and I am already feeling better. I left the office feeling confident in my care.

After years of suffering finally someone who ordered the right tests. Dr. Starkman was very through and took the time to explain my condition and the different treatments. Her staff is very friendly and they got me right in. I enjoyed going down memory lane looking at all her collectibles. Highly recommend

I have been seeing Dr. Starkman for 1.5 years now. When I first started seeing her we were not sure what my issue was, upon bloodwork I came back with a diagnosis of Lupus Positive and also Lyme Positive as well as RA. So since Lupus and Lyme can give false positives to each other she sent me to an Infectious Disease to rule out Lyme's Disease which I was treated for then retested and came back I did not have Lyme's So She started me on treatment for Lupus and RA. The first medication we tried for an anti-inflammatory did not work well for me and she had no issues listening to how I felt. we changed the meds and now I feel so much better. When my insurance changed and were not going to pay for my visits to her any longer she has worked with me to make it affordable to continue staying with her and on my medications. Because she told me she would rather make sure I can afford my treatment than stop. She also helped me find Liberty Pharmacy which has been a God-send because prior to… getting me medication from them I was paying so much I almost could not afford it any longer which is a shame that the big pharmacies have such a large mark up and a small private owned pharmacy is the better price. I absolutely recommend Dr. Hope Starkman.

Well, I would never know if Dr. Starkman is a good doctor or not. That is because she has the most inept assistant/receptionist. I called over two weeks ago to make an appointment. I was given a date and time, and gave the assistant all my insurance info as she wanted to confirm it. The assistant said she would call me back. I realized about 4 days before my scheduled appointment that the assistant never called me back. She also never retuned a VMM left for her. She never confirmed my insurance and never wrote down on the calendar the appointment date and time she gave me. She now told me she has to call and confirm my insurance, I was, “well you said you were doing that three weeks ago.” Now she wanted to make me an appointment for a date much further out than what she gave me originally. I hung up. There has to be doctors that don’t have idiots working with them.

Treated very badly. In my life I have never been thru such a terrible.. Bad experience.. the degree of her nastiness is unimaginable.

I was in a great deal of pain and Dr. Starkman's office manager Lydia was extremely sympathetic and was able to get me into the office relatively quickly when a cancellation arose.Dr. Starkman spent a great deal of time with me -offered an initial diagnosis confirmed shortly by bloodwork.The medication she put me on was amazing and i felt so much better within 48 hours.I do not usually recommend doctors-but in this case-I give her the highest recommendation that I can.
