Dr. Hossein Ghanbari, MD

Very unprofessional & creepy. I was referred to him from Veteran Affairs to have a community clinic replace my Mirena IUD after a lengthy approval process. Immediately upon meeting Dr. Ghanbari during my visit, he proceeds w/ a routine breast exam (not sure why since I had just had one at the VA) & he questions how come I have an IUD in the first place. And says that at 34, (recently divorced with 1 child) I should have more kids and that I should go on the Pill instead. I explained that I am not married nor in a stable relationship. He was eerily persistent. He asked me if I was sure I wanted to remove my IUD, to which I responded yes, bc I was there to have it replaced. AFTER removing it, he says I will have to make another appt in a few weeks to get the new one bc they have to order it!! Full on panic attack in the office & he says he can just give me some BC pills while I wait! I can’t even remember to take my ADD pill! This was my 5th IUD & this has never happened! I have always… had it replaced the same day. They should have already ordered it per the referral from my insurance (which they confirmed said that I was there for IUD replacement). Then they refused to rebook me saying they don’t think they are going to be accepting my insurance in the future. They explained that the office manager would return my calls to which she never did. I could not wait another couple months getting an appt with another local Dr (w/o birth control) or risk Dr. Ghanbari messing up my IUD insertion so that I might “accidentally“ get pregnant (seems far fetched but I he was really trying to encourage me to pop more babies out now) so I had to drive 2.5hrs to Oklahoma City to have a new one inserted ON MY FIRST VISIT. During the 3 week wait, I tried to take the Loestrin birth control pills given by Dr. Ghanbari, and they wrecked havoc on my emotional stability. I have had an IUD for 15 years without a problem. But the emotional rollercoaster caused by those pills (when I could remember to take them) caused my boyfriend to think I was bipolar psycho and I don’t blame him. Needless to say I wasn’t able to have sex when he came home from his permanent duty station hours away bc I refused to risk it. Kind of sketchy considering the doctor was encouraging me to get pregnant from the get-go. Doctors should be trustworthy and thorough & he is not.

He destroyed my mother’s life she has a lot of pain can’t puck up anything because he took something grom her!!

He looks as good as ever, just as friendly.

If you want a doctor that cares for his patients and has knowledge that only experience brings, this is your doctor. My surgery went well, my recover was great and he treated me like I was a priority. Can't say enough good things about my experience.

Best doctor I ever had. Very kind, funny, caring and my sugary outcome was great

had to wait a while because while we were in the waiting room and next in line he got called out for a delivery, however he returned very quickly and saw us as soon as he got back.

He took his sweet time every one of my appointments. I Was always there for over an hour. He took his time when I was in labor and the nurse almost had to deliver the baby.
