Dr. Howard S Garb, MD

Trash of a physician. Unsure as to why he continues to practice when he’s One of the most unprofessional, immature, cold hearted physician in east Texas. He came to see my mother acting superior than us, didn’t even bother talking to us. Just came in and out of the room-acted very cold and like he didn’t want to be there. Seemed as though as he was forced to see my mother. Mind you this was the first time he’d ever seen her. So we were very disappointed w our first impression. Nothing but trash of a dr. Don’t go to him.

If you want to have surgery definitely go to him as a matter of fact he said that's what he does. I think that is all he wants to do. When asked what could be causing my daughters ears to burn inside and keep her running a fever for weeks now he didn't know. He said no fluid, so she doesn't need surgery. He saw a bruise in her ear and automatically said we shouldn't clean her ears with qtips. When I said we don't he didn't respond. It was obvious he only wants to perform surgeries on qualified patients and without fluid in my daughters ears he sent us on our way.

I thought Dr Garb was great. He listened to me and discussed options with me. He did not just leave me waiting when they had an issue with my insurance. He came in and let me know they were waiting on them and it shouldn’t be much longer. I did not since him being rude or condescending at all. He was very helpful and professional and I could tell he was really busy that day but he still seemed great. I told him I was having some anxiety and he kept checking on me when I was waiting. I’d recommend him to everyone.

I found Dr. Garb to be a terrible person. He is highly condescending and arrogant. I busted my ear drum 2 times between 2007-2009. Both times, after it closed, I had this hole that would open when I exercise and air comes out of my ear. I saw him in 2009 to try and get it fixed, only to be dismissed and told nothing was wrong. When I arranged the appt, I instructed how I did not like the doctor. THEY STUCK ME WITH HIM!!!!! I have a visible hole this time and can blow air out of my ear...NOT NORMAL! He tells me, its so small, he doesn't recommend anything, that it should close on its own...(yet it didn't the first 2 times???) At my insistence, he does this paper procedure to help it close. He overheard me making a sarcastic joke about the risks of the procedure with a different staff, comes in, interrupts and proceeds to tell me what persistent means....I have a freaking masters degree. Not only, did he clearly not hear everything because he was eaves dropping, but I did not need him… to define any words for me......He is AWFUL!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! I went to him because of recent hearing loss and he was extremely unkind and rude throughout the entire examination.

Very rude and arrogant doctor. Didn't tell me anything I didn't already know before I walked through the door. Waste of time and money.

This doctor is very rude. I can't believe how unpleasant he was! I imagine that even vets are be kinder to animals! If you want to be mistreated and burst into tears when you tell your family about his demeaning manner, go to him.

I could not believe I paid to see this man. One of the most rude, uncareing Dr's I have ever been to. He was very rough and uncaring about any pain I was having, just rushing to get done. Big mistake on my part to go to him and now can't see any other Dr at this clinic because they don't like for patients to change Dr's within the group. So I will go to another group. Bad experience

What a nightmare this office is. Dr. Garb himself is fine. He did a great job fixing my problem but given a choice I'd never go back to this office again. Even with insurance they nickel and dime you to death. Be warned that if you have surgery they will make you pay before hand but will take their time getting a refund to you. They also made me go offsite to get a CT scan done even though they have a machine there. When I came back for it to be read they charged me an additional co-pay. Just because they didn't have someone there to do the scan that day, I am forced to pay extra? Their billing department cannot have less of a heart. They use the word policy over and over and just try to rush you off the phone. I'd say if you are going to have surgery with this office, DON'T pay before. If they owe you a refund they will not rush to get it to you. Again, the Dr. is fine, but the rest of the staff is awful.

Dr. Garb spent time with my son and made him laugh during his visit. Surgery went without a hitch.
