Dr. Howard Mark Hack, MD

I was disappointed in the pre-op interview and chose not to have the coloscopy.

I complained to my practitioner about being constipated, so he referred me to Dr. Hack. Hack looked back at my colonoscopy results from 2 years ago and made remarks that everything looked real good then. He later contacted me at home to say that my hemoglobin was low and that I should come to his office for another colonoscopy and an upper G.I. Well, since I had a colonoscopy twice before, I immediately knew that he was doing some very different. I was completely conscious throughout the entire procedure which seemed to last for 5 minutes. During the upper g.i., i vomited and was left with a severe sore throat. I do not know where Hack has been or what else he has done, but I will never see him again. I feel that he was simply ordering procedures to make himself some money.

My wife and I was broken hearted when he left Las Vegas.

I went to dr hack with severe stomach pain .I explained I had gone to mayo and had colonoscopy etc..he ran a few tests which showed high crp and other abnormalities but stated I had ibs and to see a dietician. No follow up! No stool test ordered even though I explained I had mucous coming out of rectum and so much pain that I couldn't work. I was approved ssdi snd struggled for a long time until a different dr ordered stool testing which showed c.diff, many yeasts and high wbc. So I give hack f..akso he would just stare at me when I asked questions.

Keeps changing locations, doesn't let pacients know where he is going. For over 2 years I saw him the turnover in his office help was ridiclous! He pulled up stakes in Las Vegas, no one knows where he went.

I saw Dr. Hack when he was practicing in Wisconsin. I came in with severe cramping and diarrhea. He immediately wanted to do a colonoscopy. After the colonoscopy, everything was deemed to be normal and he labeled me as having IBS and gave me some medicene for cramping. No instructions for follow up whatsoever. I came back to let him know the cramping medicene wasn't working for me and he said "Well, what do you suggest?" I felt helpless and six months later I got up the nerve to try a a new doctor. The first thing they did was an x-ray of my stomach and found severe constipation!!! It seems to me that this should have been the first thing Dr. Hack should have looked at. It is extremely frustrating to me that this could not have been found earlier. I am still dealing with the ramifications of this problem today. AVOID Dr. Hack!!!

He explained to me that my abdominal pain was normal... I was disappointed with his responses to my personal situation. I'm seeking another opinion.
