If you don't mind jumping through hoops, and being treated like a criminal...just to schedule an initial appointment, then this is the place for you. About me: I have insurance through my employer - and that insurance does not require a referral. Here is what happened to me: I called to schedule an appointment and was told (despite my insurance) that I needed to fax a referral, recent labs, and a recent office note from my PCP. I asked if I could e-mail the documents and was told that they did not accept e-mails. I went to Office Depot, waited in line for 30 minutes and spent $7 on a 4 page fax. I then called Alyssa to confirm receipt. She received the documents, but advised that the office note provided was not actually the "office note" and that I would need to provide the "office note" before scheduling an appointment. I told Alyssa that the documentation faxed (i.e visit summary) was all l had from my PCP and that the "office note" she was referring to, likely did not… exist because my PCP appointment was just an initial consult. Alyssa went on to explain what an "office note" was and stated, "you don't have the office note because it was not completed by the time you left your doctors office." In closing: I sighed and told Alyssa to shred the $7 worth of documents. I had already invested two hours of my time, trying to schedule an appointment with this office and I was not going to spend one more minute on it. I am not sure who these folks think they are, but they are no John's Hopkin - and John's Hopkins never treated me like a criminal.

I have been with Dr Harrison for many years and he only gets better. One of my best doctors.

Started seeing Dr Harrison after I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 10 years ago. Always very friendly. Answered all my questions addressed my concerns. Last visit I actually had my child with me and explained my entire ultrasound to my son. Very impressed by that. Overall great guy. Friendly staff. His nurse Gail is also great! I have recommend Dr Harrision many times over.

I have been with Dr Harrison's group for years. Dr Harrison is excellent and even came to the hospital when they had the diet wrong . After I was seeing him for several years I switched to some other doctor in his practice because his Assistant and another assistant working for him are so rude and try not to help you. Since I always liked Dr Harrison I went back to him about 8 month ago and sure enought the one assistant plus the other Assistant are very rude again. Two and a half weeks ago I called in to get my prior authorization renewed with Ecpress script. Talked to the one first then very rudely said I have to put you thru to the other Addistsnt. The other one explained she can't get on it right away since she has other patients to take care off as well. Told her I understand and I didn't expect her to do it right now. Well this coming week Friday it will be three weeks and when I called her about she said again she is so busy and had to do paperwork for other patient. I said… I talked to her 2 1:2 weeks ago and she told me the same thing. Very very rude and nasty. Sorry I have to leave Dr Harrison again. This time I will not go back since I don't even want to see these two rude longtime employees again.

I have hashimotos/hypothyroid disease. I went to see Dr. Harrison as a new patient looking for answers regarding symptoms I had developed over the course of the last 15 months. I also had a blood sugar reading of 50 from a recent 3 hour glucose test and I wanted to learn more about hypoglycemia. I have had vision and dizziness issues that I have been working to determine the cause of. After inquiring about my marital status and number of children (I am a single mother of three), Dr. Harrison had no information for me and said I am focusing â??too much on my symptomsâ??. I became visibly upset (crying) and said in that case I should leave â?? and he agreed, with no empathy. I was not disrespectful in any way to him or his staff.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in the hospital after a stroke. Dr. Harrison was the attending endocrinologist and I continued seeing him after my hospitalization. I have since heard wonderful comments about him from other people who have had problems keeping their diabetes in check using other doctors. He is definitely the best in his field and I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

This endocrinologist was recommended by a family doctor as the one he would go to. (I think this is one of the best ways to find a good specialist.) I feel much better and Dr. Harrison has taken a lot of time to get my meds just right. He is business-like but also caring and that is the perfect combination.
