Dr. Howard Russell Harvey, MD

I had an awesome experience with Dr. Harvey. Best nap ever and no memory of the dreaded colonoscopy, just as he promised.

A few years back (2017), I had surgery for a spigelian rupture. It's an hour-and-a-half to two hour one which was successful. Before I went into the OR, I had a conversation with Dr. Harvey about my never having any pharmaceuticals in my system since I was raised by my homeopath grandmother. I was seventy-five at the time of this surgery. I also handed him a typed paper which repeated the information. He clearly ignored all of it, and as a result I was unconscious for 21 hours. That isn't a mistake since he had special information about me, it was arrogance. I don't believe there is one formula for anesthesia for different patients (e.g., young child and elderly patient, skinny one and obese one, a patient with many surgeries and one without any, etc.). I was appalled at his disregarding this patient's health history.
