Dr Mitz detected an issue during a routine colonoscopy. After several attempts to deal with the issue over subsequent colonoscopies, Dr Mitz recommended surgery to remove the area in question, feeling that he had done all that he could do. He also discarded his ego and offered I get a second opinion. I was confident that Dr Mitz was thorough and gave me excellent treatment and advise, and I went the surical route per his recommendation. My surgeon confirmed that Dr Mitz did all that he could do and was absolutely correct in recommending surgery to remove the section of the colon in question. Since the surgery I have had NO issue and there will do no long term effects. I so very much appreciate Dr Mitz time and attention he devoted to my issue and his professionalism and care.

If only all specialist practices were this good! Dr. Mitz is professional, personable, and communicative. Same for the staff. Only in Littleton....

I had my 12th colonoscopy today since I turned 50. I saw Dr. Mitz a month ago to obtain a second opinion, after seeing another gastro Doctor in town who did not impress. Unlike the gastroenterologist who performed my procedure in April, Dr. Mitz carefully reviewed the 20 plus page report i provided of my extensive history and gave me his analysis of my situation and the reason I should have another this year. The prep was the best of any I have ever experienced and, from the images, appeared to be as effective and far less than the expensive prescription preps I have used in the past. His staff is expert, professional and caring, and Dr. Mitz is a serious minded individual. His practice is not a colonoscopy factory. Most of my previous colonoscopies were performed in Baltimore, Maryland, some in world renowned hospitals. I highly recommend Dr. Mitz, his practice, and his staff. In many ways they surpass the services I received in Metropolitan Baltimore!

Dr mitz is thorough and caring, albeit abrupt and direct that is why you go to a physician answers I was ecstatic when I DID NOT here the words.. So what would you like me to do for you what tests do you want etc….. Dr Mitz is what medicine used to be a dedicated physician to his patients and practice. Staff members are polite and helpful to awesome Negative is inability to access records online thus sharing with other locations difficult And as they’re busy prescription calls wait a few to be returned

My first visit was a little rough. I felt like Dr. Mitz was trying to guess why I was there rather than listen to me. The nurse interrupted us three times during our visit. Rough start. Then it got much better. Perhaps it was just an off day. I've now been there three times and for two procedures. I find the team and facility as good or better than some of the largest in the country that I've been to. My only complaint is the lack of an electronic health record and patient portal.

Dr. Mitz is an efficient, caring professional. He is a very direct communicator. Their office was responsive and supportive through this time of Covid-19. I respect and appreciate his work.

I feel really safe at Dr. Mitz’s even during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

I have been a Gastric By-Pass Patient for 10 years. When starting to experience issues with my stomach i consulted with Dr. Mitz. I cannot tell you how wonderful he was and dedicated to helping me find out what was wrong. He went above and beyond and worked directly with the Dartmouth Hitchcock staff to relay the issues he found so that they could correct them. Thank you very much Dr. Mitz.

Suffering from chronic constipation and bleeding hemorrhoids for 2 yrs, I found my way to Dr. Mitz. Today I no longer have constipation or bleeding hemorrhoids. Using the latest technology, Dr. Mitz only took a couple of minutes for hemorrhoid removal with "NO" discomfort. During COVID-19 I felt safe knowing I was the only patient allowed in his office from the time of arrival to my departure. His office staff are friendly and helpful.
