Dr Popkins staff was wounderful. The visit went well. Dr Popkins was gentle the first visit. But on the second visit I was very upset when He seems to be frustrated and he hurt me really bad when he examined me. He was extremely rought and painful. I truly fell like I was manhandled. Then he would not give me any diagnosis but sent me over to oncologis witlhout telling me why. Decided to my own choice of oncologist but they needed a diagnosis to to make a appointment. Again I called but.still could get a diagnosis. So now I do not know what to do. Where can I go now to find a doctor that will help me I am still having the same illness. Now I am frustrated

Dr. Popkin is very caring and knowledgeable doctor. He always takes the time to explain everything to you.

YOU ARE PUT ON HOLD WAAAAAAAYYYYY TO LONG WHEN CALLING THE OFFICE ..NO HOLD MUSIC NO NOTHING DEAD SILENCE!!! AGRRAVATING !!!.. DR POPKINS HOWEVER IS THE BEST THATS WHY I TRY AND OVER LOOK HIS STAFF!!!

I have always had a high opinion of Dr. Popkin - attentive, courteous, and seemingly competent. But, before now, I have never had any GYN issues that needed addressing other than the annual physical. Every year we'd have our 15-20 minutes together, and all would be well. It wasn't until I had something recently out of the ordinary that Dr. Popkin was put to the test. Essentially, he ordered an annual mammogram for me. I had it performed, and the results came back "abnormal" with a request for a sonogram. After receiving a copy of the report, Dr. Popkin did not initiate a call to me, nor did he respond to two messages left by me to discuss the report that he had received. My internist, on the other hand, who did not order the mammogram but received a copy of the report, did call on her own urging the follow-up sonogram. The icing on the cake has been no follow-up from him or his office after I sent a letter expressing my upset and asking for my records to be transferred. … Apathetic, uncaring, and irresponsible are adjectives I would now use to describe this doctor. Thankfully, the outcome of my sonogram showed only a cyst which will be watched for follow-up. But, being a colon cancer survivor, and the daughter of a woman who developed breast cancer at precisely my age of 50, this has been an upsetting experience made worse by a doctor who "checked out" on me when I have never given him a moment of trouble.

I have been going to Dr. Popkin since I was a teenager (because of menstral issues) so he has been my doctor for the past 16 years, he delivered both of my children, he is very caring and observant and actually listens to any concerns you may have. Overall I would NEVER change OB/GYN's another plus is he includes/acknowledges your spouse as well which is comforting and reassuring :) he is the BEST!!!
