Dr. Howard Thomas Shaw, MD

Dr Shaw was a recommendation from another doctor and I’m so glad I went with the reco. He was friendly and immediately put as at ease as first time to-be parents. Dr Shaw was patient with us at each visit and answered all big and small questions, offering all relevant details to keep us as informed as possible. We had a few scares during the pregnancy and he was immediately available to talk things through and guide us through the scare. When I had to get admitted to Lenox Hill few weeks before the due date because of some unforeseen complications, he was very thorough in explaining what’s happening and what would be the best care plan. We had full faith in his professional opinion and got the best care not only from his but his team at Lenox Hill. Whilst admitted he was also prompt to take my husbands texts and calls to explain things and that really put as at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better doctor during the pregnancy… Dr Shaw – thank you!

Dr Shaw is racist and only show concern for his wealthy or Jewish patients. Will recommend c-section for his convenience or to maximize billing. He is cold and sarcastic and lacks empathy. He delivered one of my children and I still Hate him! He was should not be the first person a human sees entering this world. Racist !!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Howard Shaw for 25 years. He delivered all 3 of my children. His professional care is exceptional. His staff is courteous and friendly. The location of his office is convenient. I have recommended his service to many over the years.

Dr. Shaw saved my and my baby's lives! He suspected I had placenta accreta which can be fatal and difficult to diagnose. You can’t know for sure until delivery but, if I had it, I’d likely hemorrhage. At 8 mos, he scheduled a C-section. A test showed the lungs weren’t developed, but he still admitted me for monitoring. I learned later it was against hospital policy but he fought and admitted me anyway. 12 HOURS LATER, I hemorrhaged! Had I not been in hospital care, we would definitely not be here today. He's a great doctor and a good, kind and personable man. I would recommend him to anyone. FOREVER GRATEFUL!

Dr, Shaw is a great OBGYN doctor, also a very nice person too. I came to him in my third-third-trimaster, with bad experience with my previous Ob and complication from my previous pregnancy. I was very graceful Dr, Shaw willing to help me in that situation. Under his close monitor, My third trimester went smothly and I felt more confident to be a mom. My scheduled C-section also went very well. Dr, Shaw has great techniqu in the operation room (He delivered my babe with charming music:>). In a word, I highly recommend Dr, Shaw. He is a great OBGYN you can trust and bring smiles to Moms.
