Knowledgeable and kind doctor. Patient and communicative with patient and family members. I would highly recommend him if you need to see an ENT.

I just had a surgery with Dr Koutnouyan about a week ago on my nose. I had hard time breathing. He took very good care of me. I visited his office twice prior the surgery He explained everything in details, answered all my questions. I am very happy with the Doctor and his staff. I Thank him very much for doing such a great job.

One of the WORST ENTs I have seen. I came in to visit the doctor since I was experiencing ear and sinus pain. While removing ear wax from my ear, he SCRATCHED my ear canal, which bled! That has NEVER happened to me before and I have years of chronic ear infections to my name. His response?? "Woops! I made it bleed...sorry about that". I've never had a more painful, uncomfortable experience. He also asked me very personal questions that I found inappropriate. I will NEVER return to this office. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!

It's such a shame (and such a rarity, too!) that such a wonderfully humane, kind, and knowledgeable doctor has a staff that ranks, in my extensive opinion, as the worst office staff imaginable. They are snotty, unprofessional, rude, and aggressive. They make patients feel uncomfortable, are inflexible, lazy, and under-educated. That's what happens when you have people who have a college degree or two without the benefit of a real education -- of edification and cultivation. As for office policy (and this also has lots to do with staff irresponsibility and unprofessionalism), even though they are a provider under my insurance plan (a very generous PPO), they insisted that I pay upfront and promised they would bill my insurance for reiumbursement immediately after my visit. This is not only unethical, but also illegal, but I didn't want to make a scene. Three months have gone by, and they have not bothered to bill my insurance so that I can get my reiumbursement. How awful that a… horrible office staff can give a doctor of his caliber a bad name and cost him good business and the favorable reputation he deserves.

Dr. Koutnouyan is a wonderful doctor. He does a good job explaining everything and the day of surgery really puts you at ease. He took the time to explain how it went to my wife after it was over. I specially loved that after the procedure they don't just drop you. From the first time I visited the office until way after the surgery the office staff called to help in any way they can. Overall I would recommend them to anyone (even my wife has gone to them)

I saw the doctor on a Thursday. He prescribed medicine for my sinus infection and took a sample of mucus. He told me that the medication would give me a "great improvement" in my infection. He gave me many oral instructions, no written instructions, which I followed to the letter. He told me that he would call the next Tuesday, when my lab results came in if I needed another medication. He told me to call him if I did not see improvement.The next Tuesday no call from the doctor. Late in the day -- I call and leave a message for his nurse. I explain that the medication is not working and ask for a call. Wednesday -- No call from anyone. Thursday morning I call again and leave another message for the nurse. That afternoon, I get a call from the nurse, the lab results are in, but she can't do anything. She will try to get the doctor to call me. I tell her that the medication is not working. Still no call from the doctor. Friday morning I call again, once again I leave a… message for the nurse and BEG the nurse to have any doctor look at my lab results and prescribe something new. I explain that I have not slept an entire night for 2 weeks. Friday at 12:45, someone from the office calls my home. I am not home. The caller does not leave a message. No one calls my pharmacy with a new prescription. Friday at 4:15, I call the office again. The office is closed.Doctor Hrair Koutnouyan has the worst patient care that I have ever seen.
