Dr. Hsiao Mei Lieu, MD

She is rude, unprofessional and dismissive towards her patients. If you don't like to see patients go and do something else.

This woman should not be practicing medicine or OBGYN medicine. She lacks empathy and treated me like my feelings did not matter. She has zero connection or caring & is extremely short & condescending. Why be a doctor if you don’t like people? Where is her bedside manner??? She’s a mean, nasty & completely cold woman.

Dr. Lieu was recommended by my internist after my gyno of 15 years retired. She's awesome! Efficient, knowledgeable, caring and professional. Everything you could ask for in a doctor. I was seen very quickly. She makes you feel very comfortable throughout the appointment, and she was prepared having reviewed my record before greeting me. So grateful.

New patients steer clear of Dr. Hsiao Mei Lieu as she has no regard for your time. I arrived at the office for my confirmed visit on time. I was told I could checkin automatically. The receptionist informed me I was 30 mins late which I was not and I showed her my confirmation email. I was told to take a seat she would speak to the Dr. I waited 15 minutes and was told I could reschedule for an appointment 2 weeks out. The receptionist confirmed her latest appointment to be 4:30pm. I asked why I wasn't seen today seeing as her "4:30 pm patient was a no show" (I was clearly the 4:30 pm!). She phoned the Dr once again and I could hear her saying tell her no I'm not available she can reschedule should she have an emergency she can visit a clinic. The receptionist asked me to reschedule to which I responded, I didn't take the afternoon off from work to be treated so poorly by a doctor who doesn't care for her patients! I'm highly disappointed.

Dr. Lieu has been my doctor for many years. My experience with her has always been exceptional. She shows concern about your total health, well being, not just your gynecological health. Highly recommended

I highly recommend Dr. Lieu. She is a wonderful doctor-- very competent and compassionate. Dr. Lieu delivered both my girls (9 & 11 now). She has been my doctor for 12 years. I could not imagine going to a different gynecologist. She has always answered all of the questions I asked and even ones I did not voice. I had complications with my second pregnancy and Dr. Lieu helped allay my fears by explaining the issues and helping me understand my options. I found Dr. Lieu to be very caring as showed great concern for me and my unborn child. Thanks to Dr. Lieu, I was able to carry my baby to term without further complications. Simply, I trust Dr. Lieu through and through. Moreover, I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Dr. Lieu is fine --during the five minutes you get to spend with her -- but her office is like a medical factory. You are rushed from start to finish. Frankly, if I ran into her on the street, I doubt very much she would even know that I was one of her patients, much less my name. Then, she doesn't call with test results unless they're bad, and when you call with a quick followup question, the question is taken down by an assistant, relayed to her, and then relayed back to you. You are not allowed to speak to her again. I will NOT be going back. I'm not a number, and don't appreciate being treated like one.

Smart, thorough with a positive and kind demeanor

Once I finally saw Dr. Lieu (I waited an hour) she was a pleasant person. Unfortunately, I had complications and all of my follow-up with her office was poor. I never received test results without making multiple phone calls and waiting for days, and one time I waited over a week to get results back. When she called back she was harried and rushed. I will be seeking other healthcare options--would not recommend.
