Dr. Hugh Rollins Daniel, MD

Dr Daniel preformed a colonoscopy on me. It was 11 years since my first one. I don’t have any problems and it should have been covered under my insurance as preventive care. To my surprise I received a bill from both Dr Daniel and the hospital. My insurance company told me Dr Daniel Coded it as diagnostic and not preventive. Seems really strange being I never had anything removed and was told to come back in ten years. Dr Daniel’s office won’t call me back. I need this reversed through my insurance company

Dr. Daniel performed an appendectomy on my husband’s ruptured appendix recently. We were both pleased with his professionalism and skill. He was pleasant and answered any questions we had concerning the surgery and post-op care once my husband was discharged. He took time to explain how the surgery progressed and explained what he found and the procedure used to extract the appendix. We were not only happy with the care given by Dr. Daniel but also with the nursing staff who took great care of my husband during his recovery. Everyone we encountered from checking in at the ER to his discharge truly seemed to love their work and took pride in caring for the patients on their floor. Even though we live over 30 miles away we will definitely make Columbus Regional our hospital of choice in the future should we ever need their services. I am a medical provider and Dr Daniel is excellent in his skills and is friendly. I saw the negative comment and it simply sounds like a petty insecure person barking. The nature of comments I think pretty much sums up the person complaining.

Has been and still is an excellent dr. he is my husbands my son , my daughters , and my dr. we will all continue to have him as our dr.

Dr Daniel completely ignored the volunteers in the 18+ member volunteer group unless they were doctors or nurses. (I was married to a cardio-thoracic surgeon for 30 years but Dr Daniel still never uttered a word to me in the two weeks of our assignment. I found him cold and arrogant and would never recommend him to any patient that I knew. His refusal to acknowledge me was even more bothersome because I carried down a 50lb duffel full of his surgical supplies - again no thanks, no acknowledgement. I do not have direct experience of his surgical expertise so I cannot comment on that, but his general demeanor is offensive to the medical profession.
