Dr. Humaira Adeeb Siddiqi, MD

If you take nothing else from this, know this: Visiting Dr. Siddiqi will be by far the best decision you could for your mental health and overall wellbeing. She is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, skilled, and by far the most compassionate physician I’ve met. From adolescence, through my teenage years, and into my adulthood, I struggled and couldn’t understand what the disconnect was for the life of me. Various physicians throughout the years were quick to dismiss issues and concerns as “irrelevant” or “erroneous” or simply written off as dubious exaggerations. I was convinced that I was just not doing things correctly and not doing enough. Then one day I happened to come across Dr. Siddiqi and believe me when I tell you my life changed (for the best) in ways that I never imagined were possible. Dr. Siddiqi took the time to actually listen, understand, and examine the concerns and issues I discussed. She immediately picked up on something countless other physicians weren’t able… to. She worked with me in going through all of the appropriate steps and exams in diagnosing the issue while always being there to discuss any and all concerns and questions I had, in the most reassuring and comforting ways. Dr. Siddiqi was able to explain things in a way that was so easy to understand and almost seemed as if she took the thoughts right out of my head and seamlessly worded so perfectly. For the first time, for me, it felt as if someone actually understood exactly what I had been feeling for countless years. What’s more is that Dr. Siddiqi continued to work with me — patiently and meticulously — to get the right medication and dosage and has always taken the time to alleviate any confusion or uncertainty by always being there to answer all questions thoroughly and adequately providing a feeling of contentment and calm; every visit has always felt so comfortable, relaxed, safe and has only instilled a deeper confidence and trust with each visit for years, now. The kind of compassion, genuine desire to help and understand, combined with her unparalleled intellect and experience is just a testament to the dedication and commitment to excellent care that Dr. Siddiqi demonstrates consistently with every visit and interaction. Thank you so much - from the bottom of my heart - for all that you’ve done and continue to do, Dr. Siddiqi. You are truly a life saver and have worked miracles for me that have helped me achieve more than I ever thought was possible. You are the gold standard of care. I wouldn’t be where I am without you. I am forever grateful.

She is so professional, thoughtful and caring and one of the smartest doctors I have ever met. My son was able to easily get addicting drugs from other doctors. She knows the medicines and her patients and you can't pull the wool over her eyes. She takes time to understand YOU. My son was addicted to drugs and it tore our family apart. She was gentle, but tough in the right way. She did not let him push her around, and was calm through all his tantrums. She helped me understand how I was also part of the problem, and I started to trust her plan. He said the worst things to her, but she didn't abandon him, she kept steady and firm. Over time, his months of anger melted and he actually got better ! Now he is thankful for her every day for not shunning him, and for always being there, even when he would insult her. I am thankful she gave me my son back.

She was always very comforting and caring. Despite very complex problems, she had a gentle yet informative way about her. One of my friends went with me to her office once and even my friend commented that "they don't make doctors like that anymore". I have even thought about naming my future children after her. She was more like an older sister, firm yet loving, in her medication instructions. I would not trade her for any other doctor. She will always be in my prayers and I hope that Allah gives her a great reward in this life and the next.

She was the first Doctor I ever seen for depression with. Worst experience I have ever had.. I was not trying to judge her.. But with those strong perfume, and 5 inches of hot pink heels at work...Really.... She knew I normally have low blood pressure but she prescribed me with a beta blocker, propranolol, for anciety.. I threw up twice after I took the med with very low blood pressure and I was unconscious for an hour. While I was experiencing these problem I was not even able to talk to her at all and she was on vacation without any notice AT ALL. I don't know how she managed to be a doctor. I WILL NOT recommend anyone to her but people that I hate.

I met Suddiqi for the very 1st time. Weather was bad and I was a little late....she started out with rude questioning and made me feel so low. I am going through a really tough time and then having to see her was a disaster. I wish her the best in life but she should not be in this profession. She wears heels and mini skirts and should go into a different profession.

I have been fighting mental illness for over 10 years and seen COUNTLESS doctors. I can't even remember how many psychiatrists, primary care docs, endocro. docs, therapists, researchers, etc. etc. I was even treated at a "premier" psychiatric hospital and did not have as good a doctor! In all those years, Dr. Siddiqi is THE 1st DOCTOR who has truly listened, diagnosed and treated me accurately! She did not simply "push meds" on me, but rather took into account my entire medical history and condition. I can honestly say I am not sure if I would still "be here" if it weren't for Dr. Siddiqi. She is WONDERFUL! She is very busy simply due to the number of patients who need help in the field of Mental Health. But, she always takes the time to truly allow you to speak your mind, she asks pertinent questions, wants to understand your overall quality-of-life and makes you feel as though she truly cares. She emails within the Kaiser system as quickly as she can -- and thoroughly… answers your questions and concerns. I think, especially in the field of Mental Health, she is AMAZING!
