Dr. Hung Tan Dang, MD

Our family had been coming here for almost 20 years. I have never like the staffs he had. There was a female doctor that discussed my mom's medical file openly and loudly in the waiting area, and yet, they told me they can't tell me how many prescriptions the doctor wrote for my mom in the last visit over the phone because of HIPPA rules, I only asked for the numbers(not the names) to verify with the pharmacy. It takes them 2 mins to pull out the chart and yet they are too lazy to do so and they blamed it on HIPPA. I would not recommend anyone to go there.

Dr. Hung Dan was my family doctor for over 10+ years. I automatically chose him to be my doctor because my parents had him. He is a very irresponsible doctor that can't even make a diagnose properly. As a person who work in the medical field, I think he is an embarrassment to people like us. Many years ago I had a urinary tract infection and specifically told him how painful it was when I defecate. Now, the logically thing to do here was to get a urinalysis but no, he didn't even tried that. He just automatically assumed it was a hemorrhoid. This went on for 2 years! One day I just couldn't take the pain anymore and went to the hospital where they correctly diagnosed me with urinary tract infection. Gave me some antibiotics and I was cure. Dr. Hung shouldn't even be a doctor and God knows how he passed medical school.

He is always very professional with me and my treatment of my diabetes is going very well. I read the other review and disagree with it totally. I too suffer from constipation and he x-rayed my stomach and was very nice to explain what he saw. You can see how "backed up" you are in the x-ray. I think that is really amazing! He also tells me all the time to watch my weight but I AM OVERWEIGHT and also having diabetes doesn't help that matter. Overall he is a great doctor that I've been going for 13 years and look forward to many more years of great doctoring from him.

I came in to get a TB Chest x-ray and was told from the results that I had a constipation problem. That conclusion made no sense because 1) I do not have a constipation problem and 2) I do not understand how that conclusion could be drawn from an x-ray?? I seriously question his grasp of the medical field.Also, he wouldn't stop pointing out my weight, and it got to the point where it exceeded the limits of being concerned for my health and more towards harassment. Not to mention he was incredibly curt and cold.After my horrendous experience, I called my insurance provider and immediately switched physicians. I wouldn't go back if he were the last doctor on earth.
