Matthew H. Wigginton, FNP-BC

Hunter Wigginton, FNP-BC, is a dedicated and compassionate family nurse practitioner with a special interest in neurosurgery, neurology and spine care. His career began in neurology intensive care units at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB), followed by diverse roles in ICU, PACU, ophthalmology, and GI units in Nashville and Chattanooga. These extensive experiences shaped his calm, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach to care. Hunter earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Nutrition and Nursing from the University of Mississippi, and his Master of Science in Nursing from UAB. He completed advanced clinical training in family medicine, cardiology, and orthopedics. He is passionate about empowering patients to understand their conditions, manage symptoms, and improve their quality of life through evidence-based, patient-centered care. Hunter finds it most rewarding to directly impact a patient's health and build meaningful relationships. He …strives to empower through education, advocate for needs, and deliver care promoting safety, dignity, and long-term wellness. Outside of work, Hunter enjoys biking, lifting weights, and running. He looks forward to volunteering and supporting the Chattanooga community.
