Dr. Tim Strait was born in Ashland, Ohio and graduated high school from Gilmour Academy in 1968. His undergraduate studies were undertaken at Washington and Lee University where he received his Bachelors of Science in 1971. He attended Medical School at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, receiving his MD in 1977. He continued on with his residency training in Memphis, completing an internship at Baptist Hospital in 1978. His formal neurosurgical training was undertaken in Memphis and he graduated that program in 1982. He performed additional postgraduate training at the Cornell Medical Center in 1983.

Dr. Strait arrived in Chattanooga in 1983 and has been employed with the Neurosurgical Group for the past 25 years. He holds teaching appointments with the UT Chattanooga Department of Surgery, the Boehm Birth Defects Center, and the Craniofacial Foundation of America.

Dr. Strait ordered $800 of pills from a pharmacy in India but because they kept calling him to buy more he disputed it on his credit card. is he giving these pills to his patients do you think? To think that is the case that's crazy be careful if you're a patient

He preformed a surgery on me that should NOT of been done to begin with! It would have healed on its on! Per: My new Surgeon! Quote unquote! I caught Mersa and he wrote down that it was NON INFECTIOUS? WTH? Explain HOW? I wouldn’t take my sick dog to him to treat!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Strait since 1985. He has treated me on numerous occasions and I trust his judgment and experience. Even though, I moved to Atlanta in 1997, I travel to Chattanooga for treatment and Dr. Strait surgically corrected my spinal issues with fabulous results.

My husband had surgery for glioblastoma multiiforme in 2016. Dr. Strait was able to remove 98% of the tumor in his left lobe. It has been a year and six months since the operation, and he is physically active and enjoying all of his favorite activities. We highly recommend Dr. Strait as a caring, compassionate, and experienced surgeon.

Dr. Strait, is a great doctor who explain everything in details before he perform surgery on you. It has been many years since I have seen him and the experience that I am n ow having shows that Dr. Strait has a track record of his patients who have had surgery or some kind of treatment. He is a wonderful doctor.

Dr Strait was very professional and came up with very effective strategies. Communication was easy and his staff was very courteous. The follow-up after surgery was excellent.

Would not let this doctor treat me has surgery on his mind ,that's all,he is not interested in your problem just his diagnosis,the problem here is money money money
