Dr. Juan Felix Ronderos, MD

I had cervical spinal surgery C3 to C7 with compressed nerves and became unable to walk without a Walker and was unable to use to use my fingers do to nerve damage. Two months later I am back at work and believe I will probably be 100% before too long as I am almost there now.

I am eternally grateful to Dr. Ronderos for returning some quality to my life. I had to have cervical spine surgery, C3-C7, and he took me on and within days had me in surgery. This is a very caring and thorough Dr. who spends the time you need to help you understand what is being done. Thanks Dr. Ronderos for your care and compassion and restoring some quality to my life.

Dr Ronderos did a excellent job informing me of what he was gonna do to my neck. He explained it in terms to make sure i knew what to expect. his staff was also great

I have been in the Medical Field for 40 plus years and I have worked with some of the best surgeons in the country. I can tell you what Doctor Ronderos did was a MIRACLE! We have gone from other Doctors giving her no hope to now enjoying life again. This is all because Dr. Ronderos made the decision to try to help my Mother-in-Law. She was bed-ridden for 2.5 years with no hope until he agreed to take her case. I have purposefully waited to write this review, so everyone would know that the results are beyond contestation. My Mother-in-Law was operated on by a local Orthopedic Surgeon in Mobile, Al. This surgeon sheared off the top of her vertebrae while placing a screw. This can happen as a complication but he never told her. She was in so much pain after the surgery she could not walk and was bed ridden. When trying to contact the Dr. responsible, he and his staff were very obtuse, would ignore the calls and not return them. When she went in to see him, he blamed the… Family and said he would not see her anymore nor would he release her to be seen by anyone else for at least 90 days. After reading several reviews on this Dr. this seems to be his way to deal with all his mistakes (of which there are many.) NO ONE in the Mobile, Alabama area would touch her after reviewing her chart and seeing the Dr. involved. Even the Doctors of University of Alabama at Birmingham refused her case. Finally, we were able to see Dr. Ronderos in Pensacola, Fl. and he said he would review the chart and consult with the family. We did not know meeting with Dr. Ronderos was not just a great medical move, but I believe guided by much prayer and God’s intervention. Please understand, I am not an overly religious man, but I can find no other explanation. Dr. Ronderos was very honest and told us he would have to think about the case because this was what was known as a “Salvage Case”. In short it had been messed up so badly he did not know if he could help. After reviewing the case, Dr. Ronderos was good enough to take the case and ordered the tests that were needed. Bone density test, MRI, along with many blood tests to ensure my Mother-In-Law could withstand the surgery. She was close to 80 years old and had been bed-ridden for 2 years. Dr. Ronderos preformed the first of what would be 3 surgeries. After the first she could get up by herself and walk again. After the third she can now drive her car, get her nails and hair done and pretty much whatever she wishes. In short he GAVE HER LIFE BACK TO HER WHEN OTHERS SAID THERE WAS NOTING THEY COULD OR WOULD DO! In closing I will say, I have had the distinct privilege to work with some of the finest surgeons in the United States, but I have never met a Doctor or Surgeon that cares more about his patients than Dr. Ronderos. His skill, compassion and true understanding of the medical condition is unparalleled in my 40 years of experience. I truly believe his skills are only matched by his compassion and will to help others. Dr.Ronderos is a very caring Dr.,he takes the time to explain in a way that you can understand,his staff are wonderful also,Kate RA is a great help to the doctor.They are very professional.

He is fantastic! He doesn't jump to the automatic surgery, he takes his time and evaluates what is the best course of action for YOU as a patient. He could of done what every other doctor would have suggested but he chose to do what would help ME the most!! I guess you could say he's not one of those doctors that just wants to cut on you. He really wanted what was going to give me the best results. And that means everything!!!

Had to have emergency craniotomy on a Friday. Dr. Ronderos was able to remove a very large tumor with no problem. I done so well I was able to go home on that Monday. Thank you Dr. Ronderos for a job very well done.

I had L3 fusion surgery. It went well. No more nerve pain!

Words cannot adequately express my appreciation to Dr. Ronderos for making it possible to live a life free of back pain. He explain how he would do the surgery to me and my wife and made us fill confident that I would fine and he also told my wife he would film me in the recover room after my surgery were she could see how I was doing being she could not be there with me due to covid-19. Dr. Ronderos has a great bed side manner and his nurses were all very nice and professional. I have and will continue to refer Dr. Ronderos to my family and friends.
