Dr. Huy Khac Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen was my parents physician, and cared for them so well until they both passed. As I was their caregivers he also became my doctor as well as my families. He listens, cares, researches, educates, ask questions; genuinely wants you to understand what’s going on with your health. And, shockingly, he shares his cell number with his patients so we’re not limited to seeing him office hours. He has always responded & cared for me when I texted, regardless of the time or the day. I think he’s one in a million as a physician & I highly recommend!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Mike, as we call him, for many years. He has always been courteous, knowledgeable, and patient with us. His staff is great, especially those who have been with him for years. They treat us in a professional manner, of course, but they are also interested in us as people. Susan, especially, has been of particular help over the years. We have also been treated by Dr. Tom and Dr. Chan, both of whom have been professional and friendly toward us. We highly recommend this group of doctors at St. Michael Medical Clinic.

I took my mother to see her new doctor Huy Nguyen as she just moved to Texas from Maine. He addresses the issues at hand and quickly resolves the problems with solutions that we had never thought of or any other Doctor has ever offered for my mothers needs. He listens and takes the time needed on every appointment until we fully understand. ANYONE looking for a professional, knowledgeable and stellar Internal Medicine doctor in this area or well beyond you wont be disappointed with Dr. Huy Nguyen:)

I have been going to the doctors at St. Michael's for years now, and continue to go, even though I no longer live close by. Dr. Mike Nguyen has been my personal physician and Dr. Lisa Chan, my Mom's. I attribute my Mom's life to the knowledge and care that Dr. Lisa Chan gave my Mom after a triple by-pass years ago. My Mom's Cardiologist and many other "Medical Center" physicians could not figure out what was causing my Mom's extreme nausea post surgery and seemed to just take the attitude of "Well, she's 80 years old and has had a good life". Dr. Chan listened inventively to what my Mom and I had to say and with total confidence, said "We can fix this". She prescribed my Mom a couple of different medications, to stop the nausea, increase my Mom's appetite and then weaned her back off of both once she was stabilized, which took only about 2 weeks. My Mom is now 86 years old and I do not believe would be here today, had Dr. Chan not taken the time to "listen". Dr. Mike has always… listened to me, as well, when I have gone to him for anything. A doctor is not there to "chit chat" (as another person who reviewed Dr. Mike noted), but to listen to you to best identify what can be done to help you. I can only imagine all that a doctor has going on in his head when speaking with any one of his/her patients. I trust any one of the outstanding physicians at St. Thomas Medical Clinic emphatically with my health and the health of any other of my family members or friends.

I feel this doctor does not have my best interest in mind in treating me. He appears to not fully listen to you, and leaves me feeling as if he's got one foot out the door before I'm finished.
