Dr. Hye-In Park, MD

Dr. Park is PHENOMENAL!!! Please do not be quick to judge. She is professional and straight to the point (most surgeons are). Dr. Park will not "sugar coat" anything and explains every possible outcome for your procedure. I am amazed at how well I feel just 2 hours out of surgery. She saved my ovary which was particularly important for my health condition. I am forever grateful to Dr Park. I know reviews are important and can make an impact but please go see her for yourself. You will be in excellent hands and care.

Dr. Park performed my surgery in January. From my consultation, to my discharge from the hospital, the professionalism I received from Dr. park and her staff was exceptional. I am thankful and blessed she was my surgeon. She is experienced, caring, compassionate and above all, a brilliant surgeon.

As I face down the barrel of a second exploratory lap for my surgically confirmed stage 4 endometriosis, I am reflecting heavily upon my experience with Dr. Park as my gynecologist and surgeon back in 2019. Sheron Philips, the absolutely brilliant NP that was in that office back then, after a single thorough visit with me suspected I might have endometriosis based on my ovarian cysts, my pains, complaints and symptoms and she referred me to Dr. Park. I work for an OBGYN office for Northwell now which is the only reason Dr. Park is no longer my physician, and I am frustrated by many of the bad reviews here for Dr. Park. So many of these issues listed by other patients are completely out of Dr. Park’s hands and also I suspect are due to Dr. Park’s accent and straight to the point demeanor. None of these things actually reflect on her abilities as an excellent practitioner. From the moment my care was transitioned to Dr. Park, she listened to everything I had to say, she explained… everything thoroughly every time, she showed up (not on call) when I showed up in the Winthrop ER a month prior to my scheduled surgery, she never rushed me because I never allowed it and she never tried. She performed my endo surgery to as great of success as can be expected with as advanced of a case as mine and her follow up care was completely above and beyond. If I weren’t bound to Northwell doctors due to my insurance, I’d go back to her for my next surgery with absolutely no hesitation. She is caring and kind and knowledgeable if you advocate for yourself and get to know her. I recently got my records from her for my new gyno surgeon and I had absolutely no issue in terms of discrepancy between what she wrote in the notes from my visits and my memory of my visits. absolutely give Dr. Park a chance, she is a phenomenal clinician and surgeon. She absolutely saved my life.

Dr. Park is an absolutely amazing doctor. She thoroughly explained the Robotic procedure before and after to keep me informed at all times. She is a highly skilled doctor with a light-hearted personality. Her office and surgical team at Winthrop Hospital in Mineola are amazing! Dr. Park has exceeded my high expectations, and I would recommend her to any woman without hesitation.

Dr. Park has absolutely no bedside manner. I consulted with her regarding a possible laparoscopy. When inquiring about whether this was the best option given my clinical history and her experience with the same, she became very defensive, rude and stated that I asked her the same question twice. Frankly, she behaved very arrogantly, as if I had no business asking her anything. I explained that having a hysterectomy was not an easy decision for me and she was behaving unprofessionally. She apologized but, unfortunately, the damage was done. She made an already difficult health issue so much worse. If you’re looking for a doctor that will take the time to explain things, she is not the one.

I had high hopes for this practitioner but she was terrible. First, the gynecological examination chair wasn't obstructed from view in any manner when the door is opened. Women's Contemporary Care should place a curtain or repositon the chair. I thought I finally found someone who can give me specialized information about my condition. As soon as she enters the room she stands up against the wall and proceeds to ask me questions about my visits with other OB/GYNs. She then asked me what I do for a living(wondering what this has to do with treatment) and I answer her. She begins the exam with an abdominal examination while asking me a question which I attempt to answer but she cuts me off and tells me she needs to focus on examining me then we can talk. What? She moves on to the pelvic exam, but doesn't do a pap smear nor does she do a breast exam. I am perplexed. I share my confusion with her. She tells me she doesn't think my insurance will cover it despite me explaining to her my… last pap smear was more than a year ago. She says we do them every two years now not annually unless there are special circumstances. Why do I have to explain to a doctor the Well Woman Exam is performed annually? I was livid inside becuase my last pap smear was abnormal which I shared with her but she claimed she needed the medical records from the last OB/GYN to make sure the pap smear she performs is covered by insurance. This DOCTOR needs to be re-educated because she has lapsed. I told the receptionist don't even book a follow up because I'm not coming back. Tell her I'm on to better doctors.
