Dr. Iain L Grant, MD

He was my ent for as long as I lived in Ohio, first establishing my relationship with him through Ohio State University Hospital system. When he moved to Dublin, I followed his practice. My condition is complicated with a family history of Hogimoto's Syndrome , Tiny ear inner ear canals, etc. He not only helped me with my allergies, but also kept a close eye on my Thyroid. When we moved out of state I have felt I lost an advocate towards my health. I wish we could still have his care, as it was important towards a more clarified care that I don't have now.

I switched to Dr. Grant after having a bad experience with another ENT. He is very knowledgeable and seemed very caring, and has hundreds of great reviews! However, the wait time to see him was 1 hour past my appointment time each time!! Who has time for that?? Each time he said he was called away for an emergency at the hospital. So I have to find a new ENT that will actually see me on time.

I had a horrible itch (feeling of something crawling) in my ear. Dr. Iain Grant said it was post nasal drip. I tried to get a second opinion from a doctor in that office but was told if you see one doctor there, you cannot see another. I called back and it was a day when Dr. Grant wasn't there so I did see another doctor. He only concurred with Dr. Grant. I went to Riverside ER and was told they do not remove wax. I finally got relief when another ENT in another office and they removed wax from my ear. There was no testing to see if an organism was in the wax so I can't say but the horrible feeling of crawling/itching went away. It has never returned and this was a few years ago. I still wonder if something you need a microscope to see was in my ear but at any rate, I was finally free of it after going elsewhere. I give 2 stars because he was friendly and nice........but wrong. Also I won't return to an office where I cannot see another doctor there. I don't understand that policy.

Dr. Grant was not only an unfriendly man, but his work on my nose and sinuses was awful. My deviated septum is worse than it was before my surgery and my sinuses felt as if nothing was done to them. He failed to properly cauterize the incisions in my nose and I had to be rushed back to the hospital for him to stop the bleeding. PLEASE seek the opinion of another doctor before you let Dr. Iain Grant touch your nose, and if the surgery must be done, please seek the treatment elsewhere. Dr. Grant is responsible for causing Empty Nose Syndrome for multiple patients, if you haven't heard of it that is because Dr. Grant and other poorly licensed ENTs refuse to acknowledge the severity (or even the existence, for that matter) of this doctor-caused disability. Empty Nose Syndrome is no joke, and the damage it does to a person can ruin their lives if they cannot afford the expensive surgery to reverse the condition. Please take this review into serious consideration, for the sake of you and/or… your loved ones.

I was a long time patient whom was completely fixed via deviated septun surgery. He also performed my daughters tonsilectomy. Now im searching for allergy testin for my daughter. Hoping he can be involved love him!

I don't typically write reviews, but was shocked to see the reviews that were negative regarding Dr. Grant. After years of ineffective treatments by other specialists, a friend recommended Dr Grant very highly (wish he had written a review!). He was able to perform an extremely risky surgery on me and I am a new person. It has been almost a year since the surgery and I continue to be grateful every day that I can breath freely and no longer have excruciating headaches on a daily basis. I have learned that other reputable ENT specialists send patients to him for this surgery because of his reputation for success in performing it. I highly recommend him.

Seemed a bit pushy and a little too eager to rush me into surgery. Glad I opted against it and had a second opinion to validate....especially after seeing some of these reviews.

Caused nerve damage resulting in Empty Nose Syndrome. My life will never be the same and I was never informed or warned of this condition.

Cut up my turbinates and gave me Empty Nose Syndrome. Now I have to pay $20,000 for a good ENT revisionist to try and fix what he messed up...on top of what I still owe him for the original hack-job. I am in constant discomfort. Tried to take out my tonsils too when I said I was still uncomfortable. A shining example of what is wrong with our medical BUSINESS.

One of the most caring and efficient doctors I' have ever encountered. He did everything he could to quickly and correctly diagnose my problem. Surgery was needed and scheduled, greatly correcting the issue. He take time to listen, carefully explains and cares---gets right to the problem, fixes it and provides excellent follow up care. I very highly recommend Dr. Grant.
