Dr. Ian Metzler

I found Dr Metler very helpful. I had a fairly short appointment, however; he took the time to get to know me and really made me feel like he was listening. I feel like going forward with him for treatment will really help.

I totally disagree with above review! Dr Metzler is always asking if i have questions and answers promptly although over a holiday may take a extra day but everyone deserves a holiday. The other review is like she talking about a different person. Dr Metzler is kind, knowledgeable and wants the best for his patients.

It's almost impossible to get him to answer any patient questions despite requestion answers through my hart, and leaving several messages. Even the day of surgery he said he would come by to answer questions before the procedure. Patient was taking back to the OR where he said again he would answer questions. We shouldn't have to ask multiple times. Also with a patient that has a kidney that is dying due to a collapsed ureter, you'd think there would be some sense of urgency to get the issue resolved, instead it's a condescending video call with the doctor. Quite frankly, in my opinion, Dr. Metzler has no business practicing at Ohsu if he can't treat his patients with care and compassion.
