Dr. Igor Kofman, MD

As a nervous patient (needing a hernia operation), I could judge Dr. Kofman's demeanor towards his patients the very moment I first met him. He was kind and caring and took time to explain from a - z what would be happening, why, and how. Come day of surgery there he was once again checking in to see if I was okay and ready to have the procedure. Of course I was not - I was nervous bordering of terrified (which was not unexpected given my many years of interaction with supposed medical professionals of late). But seeing him once again and feeling his caring and reassurance, I relaxed and was taken great care of. Of course I am in pain having just had a hernia operation. That is to be expected. If anything were to have gone wrong which would have resulted in another procedure, as long as Dr. Kofman would be the doctor taking care of me, whilst I would not like the idea of yet another operation, I would be completely comfortable allowing myself to be attended to by him. You… need a kind caring doctor for a 'specialized' operation, do what ever you have to do to get Dr. Kofman to be your specialist. Thanks Dr. Kofman - you are indeed an asset to your profession. Have not yet had my surgery (it is this week) but I really appreciated how he took time during my consultation to explain the problems, describe the surgery (with hand-drawn diagrams!) and even wrote out all the prep instructions by hand. He answered all my questions ad his staff had been excellent on follow-up.
