Dr. Ikedieze Igwe Chukwu, MD

Dr. Chukwu is an incredibly caring physician, so many great things can be said about him. On the other hand, his staff is so horrendous that they almost completely overshadow how great of a doctor he is. We have had several issues with them correcting orders or sending the correct information to get the medications needed. They take forever to return or even answer calls and never follow through with promising to do their jobs. This has been addressed with Dr. Chukwu as well as his nurse practitioner and nothing has changed. This has made us highly consider switching physicians even though we love the doctor himself. When Cassandra was there the office seemed to run better, we miss her.

I love Dr. Chukwa. Pleasant bedside manner but my first experience at his new location was very unpleasant. There is only one girl at the front and she has a very bad attitude. Didnt greet people and actually seemed angry. Didnt catch her name but her earlobes look like she wears these huge ear piercings so popular now a days. I asked 2 questions and she seemed so disturbed. I asked another question and totally ignored me ...thank goodness for A young man that works in the back he walked in to make copies, overheard and answered my question. Please talk to her. Very negative energy!!!

I left Dr. Chukwu after three years because of his staff. How unfortunate this kind, caring doctor cannot control his staff. Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone, get the correct prescription refills or even see the doctor remotely close to your appointment time. The front office is very, very selective in who sees the doctor first & it has nothing to do with when you arrived or your appointment time. When I questioned this on my last visit, the answer was "Oh, you need some tests". Standard procedure has always been...all tests are done after seeing the doctor. One visit in the early part of the year lasted six hours..five & 1/2 of those were spent in the waiting room! They don't call in prescriptions & at times, you literally have to go to the office to talk to someone.

Dr. Chukwu, is an amazing doctor. He has helped my elderly mother extend her life with us. I will always be grateful for all the care he has given her and the patience to talk to us through the process, listen to our concerns, and quickly address them.

Hate to leave one star but be forewarned ...... The office staff is ignorant, lazy, unprofessional! No one answers the phone! Getting scripts refilled takes days!!! Getting THE RIGHT MEDS called in is virtually impossible. And good luck if you are sick - meds for that takes days too! Unfortunately this is a great doctor who is attentive and caring the only problem is you only get that with him. Not worth all the trouble especially if you need ongoing care and medication.

Been calling for a refill for 3 weeks. No answer it’s geting really bad the patient Services

I have been trying to get an appointment for the past 2 weeks and left message with office manager and still have not received a call back.

Dr Chukwu goes above and beyond his expertise. Great Dr with a good bedside manner. I had a previous primary but when I was hospitalized he didn’t have privileges at the hospital that I was admitted. That’s where I met Dr Chukwu and he took care of me. Love this Dr so I followed him to his private practice and have been his patient since.

Since my heart attack December 28, 2012 Dr. Chukwu has been my doctor. The care he have me was outstanding while I recovered in Del Sol Medical Center, El Paso Texas. My children loved him from the start because he was attentive, kind and explained everything where they could understand it. He is now the primary physician for both of my sisters and my mother. Never before Havre I been tested with such kindness and respect from any other doctor in my 65 years of life. Thank God for this man!

As a new patient the staff was courteous and very caring. Later visits they seemed to be bothered with the fact we needed help with a rx or see the doctor on an emergency basis. I called for an appointment and said they would call back. Never got the call. With all the good ratings Dr. Chewkwu has maybe I was the exception.
