Dr. Ildiko Jekl Hodde, MD

She was wonderful when she worked under Foothill Psychological. When she constructed her own/new office in Claremont, I believe she changed at that time. I stopped getting caring, listeing appointments and was misdiagnosed and put on heavy harsh antipsychotic meds for simple chronic depression. I had to go to ER for help to get off the cocktail of meds she built up for me over a years time. She kept telling me that I have hardly given it time to work, or that my gosh, I must be really sensitive. Realisitically, ER asked if I was schitzophrenic because that's the med she had me on. I've been off all her meds for 3 years and stopped seeing her and Ive been just fine, great actually-going to the gym 5 days a week and no longer having any of these symptoms that she claimed were my disorder. Instead she had me believing I acquired a new diagnosis that required more followups with her and more off-label meds from her. They were all wrong. I should've trusted my instincts after the 2nd med… gave me adverse reactions, but I wanted soo badly to feel better and she speaks so confidently but I don't think she had any notes about me or my reaction to accurately track or help me. I felt like I was just helping finance the new private office of hers.

I found Dr. Hodde to be extremely judgmental, insincere, and non compassionate.

Dr. Hodde is an amazing, friendly, kind and a knowledgeable Psychiatrist. She has been treating me and my son for years. I have seen other Psychiatrist in the past, and frankly they were a quite strange. I was soooo happy when I found her. She has gotten our medications right, and we are doing better than ever. She has been my psychiatrist for many years. She is kind, caring and very intelligent. She listens and explains everything she is recommending. She is not one of those high and mighty doctors, she listens to your ideas and if it makes sense she is willing to go with it. Not only she got me stable psychiatrically, but there have been several times, when she diagnosed my medical problem that a bunch of other specialist could not figure out. I am so grateful to have her!

Dr. Hodde is very caring and compassionate. She spends an appropriate amount of time with you. She is knowledgeable, remembers you, asks questions, and gives advice. I can get an apointment quickly. I don't have to wait long in the office. Her staff is professional.

I highly reccomend Dr. Hidden and I think the world of her as my Dr. I have a hard time finding a understanding Drs who are willing to help but she's very caring and knows her meds really well. She spends a great deal of time with you and even tries to help you find solutions to your problems before your next appointment. If your looking for a Dr that truly cares and your willing to work with her and help her help you then look no further. I'm so happy and lucky to have found a real Dr who has nothing but compassion for her patients. She's the best!!

Dr. Hodde is very smart and a very good psychiatrist. She remembers details about her patients' histories from visit to visit. She keeps up with the latest anti-depressant research. She takes a lot of time with each patient and is very caring. She comes across as very advanced in her knowledge of different anti-depressants, and has a lot of experience with her own patients in knowing what combinations can be effective in various circumstances. She is not afraid to prescribe, when it is fitting. After a few months I told her I was feeling at 95%, and she was even dedicated to getting me that last 5%, prescribing a drug/nutrition supplement to get me the rest of the way. She is available by phone at any time, she follows up with letters and phone calls, and cares about each one of her patients. Definitely the best psychiatrist, or even the best doctor, I have ever been to.

Dr Hodde has a sense of humor and is obviously extremely intelligent. She has been my doctor for 10 years. She knows me and listens to what I have to say taking into consideration my concerns as we discuss my condition. She shares a bit about her life with me also. I am very comfortable with her and trust her judgment.
