Dr. Iley Coleman Neely, MD

I was frightened by a sudden flash in my eye, and due to Pandemic was reluctant to leave my home but had no choice. It turned out Dr. Neely's staff was on other calls and Dr. Neely answered the phone with such a down to earth manner, listened to my situation and explained they are not seeing patients, but this is urgent and saw me within an hour. The staff and Dr. were totally in line with the COVID-19 precautions, very professional, yet personable and made me feel relieved for such a positive experience. Dr.'s communication for my situation was transparent and I felt my vision was in good hands. Highly recommend Dr. Neely! Donna C.

WORST DOCTOR AND STAFF. The secretary Glenys and this doctor are a SCAM. They PRETENDED TO CALL MY INSURANCE AND MADE ME PAY THINKING THAT I WAS COVERED TO THEN TWO DAYS BEFORE MY SURGERY TO CHARGE ME FOR EVERYTHING, LYING ABOUT HAVING CONTACTED MY INSURANCE. When I went over to ask about a position on the matter, they told me that if I wasn’t happy I should LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR. Do yourself a favor and don’t put yourself through a situation like the one I had to go through with them.

She is an outgoing professional that is simply a joy to be around. She makes you feel comfortable and asks all the right questions.

This is an exceptional doctor. She was very reassuring and just generally had a great manner.

Her office is efficient and so is she. She has a no nonsense approach which is very reassuring. Additionally the cataract removal went smoothly and the result was amazing. I highly rate this doctor in all areas.

Being a physician in the community I am lucky that I have my pick for ophthalmologists. I went recently to Dr. Neely for a painful cyst that needed extraction. She was prompt, right on the money regarding diagnosis, and when it came to treatment, her excellent steady hands plucked the cyst from my eye nearly painlessly. I am all better. I also know that when I ask around where to go for eye problems-- other doctors and many of my own patients point right in her direction. You'll be pleased I'm certain. The other reviewer above, needs to throw away the thesaurus and relax.

Dr. Neely is welcoming, engaging, and ostensibly humble, all of which are noteworthy in a profession often characterized by arrogance. What her real professional skills are I cannot determine, because over the years I required nothing more than the interpretation of the examinations performed by technicians in her office. (That there was different one at each visit, for it's worth, should be noted.) Dr. Neely's not being an alarmist is praiseworthy. However, she reflects and makes a living from one significant weakness in our health-care system--that is, vast numbers of patients in certain practices either do not know what excellent service is or have simply resigned to that which is mediocre. Iley Neely is less interested in improving what is egregiously poor office management than she is being admired and thought of as nice gal by her employees. Patients who expect refinement and decorum emanating from their health-care providers would be well advised to go elsewhere for matters… relating to their vision.
